Course renovation: Misty Creek Country Club underwent a comprehensive golf course renovation, which included re-grassing all areas, rebuilding bunkers, upgrading the driving range, and installing a new irrigation system. The course was temporarily closed for these improvements and reopened to the public in November 2025.

Intriguing course
1/2 the course is a nature preserve so we saw deer, raccoons, cranes with little ones, Gators and so on. The course is very well kept, Tee boxes are showing a little wear due to heavy play but greens and fairways are in nice condition. This is a fun and unusual track to play. It's fair in width and green size. Great people!

Fantastic Course that Makes You Think
Always a great time and round, this is a fantastic course that will make you think, it is not the typical “grip it and rip it”. The staff is fantastic and thanked us for coming out and playing, cart person was wonderful and pace of play was fantastic. We were through in less than 4 hours. A really great course that is fun to play!!!

Always a Pleasure
It’s always a pleasure playing this Gem in Sarasota. Well taken care of and always a good pace of play. And if you look closely you can almost always spot a deer or two. Misty Creek is fun to play, but is still a tough track if you don’t manage your game well.

Pleasantly surprised
IMHO I really liked this course. Clubhouse is a little weak but I was there to play golf not admire the clubhouse. Had one of the first few tee times. Played as a single, got paired up with a 3-some. Pace of play was not a problem. For those complaining about the greens being slow, I thought they rolled as a solid 9-10 on the stimp. If they were 13’s then the pace of play would suck and you would too. I did not know it was within bird sanctuary going in, you end up seeing a lot of different kinds of species out there. One of the guys I played with kept complaining about the bird noises in his backswing… yeah, that’s the problem dude.
On one hole I got out the cart and literally did not see a gator 10 feet away staring at me. I felt kind of bad for it because it had a fishing lure and line hanging out it’s mouth.
Overall I was pleased and 100% will come back when I’m in the area.
