Misty Creek Country Club

The course was mostly well maintained but lacked good conditions around tees and greens as they have announced that fairways and greens will be completely removed and replaced starting in mid March. A very nice layout overall and hope to return to Sarasota in a couple of years to play the trnuilt course.

Played the course twice while staying on Lido key. Staff was very friendly and well organized. Course conditions were great. Layout was interesting but not too difficult. Holes were spread out and you're not hitting into other fairways. Some houses on a few holes but it’s not inside a neighborhood. Lots of nature to see - beautiful birds, deer, turtles and a few alligators. The views are great. While crowded pace of play was about 4 hours. They do monitor pace of play but we didn’t feel like the rangers were a problem. A bit pricey at $125ish but worth it in my opinion. I’ll definitely go back when I’m the area.

This course is a great layout with a few tighter holes that make it challenging. Water is present but only comes into play really on a few of the holes. Once they tear up the greens and fairways in a the scheduled total renovation this summer hopefully they will be able to cut the fairways shorter making the playing conditions better.

We hit up the clubhouse after for lunch service was fantastic but the quality of the food with a very limited menu was Mediocre at best. Hopefully with the renos and new management that might improve as well. But for this area this course is still a good deal and is a pleasant place to play a round.

Some of the routes from hole to hole need better directional signs. Mostly in the third to fifth hole. Some of the holes have hidden areas of trouble and with no maps, it is easy to get into trouble. I know the future holds promise with the work coming to the course.

Liked course. No houses. Fairways lined with Florida jungle

If you do not have your game one can lose some golf balls.

Only thing preventing an excellent overall was the pace of play.

My 2 some breezed thru the first 6 holes but caught a 2 who were behind a 4 some so slow going

Would have made sense for us to join the 2 done ahead of us . We were at the tee box on 8 I think it was and they hadn’t teed off yet- but they never asked . Never saw a ranger.

Anyway great conditions. Lots of water.
