Simple course, good value
if your looking for a good course, this is not for you. If your looking just to play a course, and get great value.then go. Course is not great condition, not really challanging. If your just out to play this is for you. Great Value ... 44 plus tax and charge for 18 w/cart,lunch and a drink... really cant beat it anywhere...
Course is playable, but needs work
My first time playing at Rolling Green. It's a nice layout any very playable for golfers of any skill level, but like many courses in the Sarasota area, it isn't well kept. The fairways have too many bare spots and many of the greens are not in the best shape. The pace of play was going (under 4 hours) and the price is in line with the course conditions.
It’s ok
Plenty of garbage around the course . Broken signs, damaged grass on fare way , damaged green , etc .
But it’s an easy course at low budget. .
Decent course for the money
I played this course for the 4th time today. The course conditions could be better. It’s just so-so, but nothing that truly adversely affects play.
The course employees —from the guy at check in to the starter—are pleasant and helpful.
There’s no water provided along the way and trash bins are not located at every tee.
The course has been crowded the last couple times I’ve played here but it moves along. Figure 4 hours for 18 holes. And that’s at all hours, early or late.
I pay for this course via GolfNow or TeeOff and am satisfied that I’m getting good value for what I pay. I recommend this course to friends.
Where's the turf??
Simple back and forth layout with small greens...typical for an older course. Course conditions barren as limited turf in the fairways. Way overpriced for the condition of the course. Great place for the local retired residents. Good thing is that my wife and I were able to play 18 in just under 3-1/2 hours
Not happy at all
Upon arrival the staff were not very friendly. Everybody has a bad day so I overlooked this and headed to the 1st tee. The slow pace of play started there. The starter did not set a pace so at times there were 4 groups on one hole. This continued throughout the round as there was no ranger to move the groups along. The constant waiting made us decide to quit playing after the 13th hole. As far as recommending this course, I could not.
I know what to expect
This is a course that could be really nice.
But the greens are always below expectation. The pace of play was great and the BLT made in the clubhouse is worth the visit.
