Deer Run at Sun 'n Lake Golf & Country Club

Practice facilities were in great shape, friendly staff, tee boxes and fairways were in good shape. Greens on the other hand are terrible on Deer Run with that disease and 1/3 were also bad on turtle with the same disease. You should be telling people about the greens before booking as the ones on Deer were almost not even worth putting on.

We were from out of town, so didn't have a clue what to expect....price seemed too good to be true....buy everything was really great, except the green speed which was a bit slow....but even that said the greens were consistent and rolled pretty true.....if you happen to be in Sebring, I would recommended that you stop-in and play!

Great time...challenging. a lot of fun and I will recommend this course to family and friends!

The front nine was awfully difficult once you reach the greens they were really in bad shape. The back nine greens were noticeably better the best greens being all 16 through 18. Found out from a member that I was playing with that they have a fairly new course superintendent. The greens have been aerated, and although they were small tines the front nine on the turtle course was terrible. It is your typical Florida course not too much wow factor but still not bad for the price in season. Just super surprised the greens were as bad as they were.

Course was in good shape. Staff was very nice and helpful! Restaurant was very good. Waitress was awesome!

Great day on the Deer run! Drove the hour and it was worth it. Conditions are amazing right now fairways are firm with alot of roll. Greens run medium with break. Wide open course with gorgeous color. Be careful and speak up when checking in!!! They were busy and I had prepaid my time through GolfNow, and was charged full amount from the pro shop plus a rider fee for my mom who was accompanying me . I noticed the mistake and alerted the pro shop. They voided the $70.00 and recharged me $10 for the rider fee. A minor miscommunication and they handled it well. It was my first time and since it was so busy they put everyone on a shotgun start ,an employee drove me out to hole 4 and let the people in front of me know I would be catching up to join them. The cart girl can make you mixed drinks but it is CASH ONLY. I would recommend this course to anyone. THE BAR AND GRILL IS AMAZING!!! Cheap beer and great burgers 8/10 day will definitely be back!

Played here for second time. It is a nice track.. good layout. Staff are awesome. Club house/19th Hole offers a lot of selections. Food is great and reasonably priced. We have only played Turtle Run… next time will try Deer Run. I would recommend this golf course without hesitation.

We never have had a bad round here. Course is always in great shape. There is a lot of play here this year. Women play fast here , however the men need to take a lesson on ready golf. Obviously they watch to much golf on tv. It’s in a retirement community and that may have something to do with it. The weekends are the best time to play (less play and cheaper rates).

.The course is straight forward with no tricked up holes. The 18th hole is a par 3 island green and by far the best hole on the course..Unfortunately the slow play was a huge problem and with no ranger it became even a bigger one. Golf etiquette needs to be taught on how to drive carts and where to park carts by the green if you have time for a 4.50 round , then this is your course.

Golf Course was in good shape greens we’re medium to fast. Seemed to slow down as we played which is understandable tee off was 1:00. Unfortunately we had 4 guys in front of us that played very slow. On the back nine they were very slow it looked like they were drinking way to much aiming fluid. It took over 5 hours to play the 18 which is unacceptable. Course should of had ranger out there moving them along !
