Beautifully restored greens. It was well worth the wait. My only complaint was a storm blew up and only got to play nine holes. I can't wait to get back and play.

Great value for the money compared to other courses in the area. The greens are in great shape. I would’ve definitely spent more money at this course if they had a beverage cart.

The course has been closed for more than a year because of renovations. The greens were in phenomenal shape but we’re mainly slow with the guess being they are being kept at a higher height to start out to keep them healthy. A lot of interesting holes that you need to think your way through. It’s a little tough to get to but could see making occasional trips to play because of the layout. Got done with several holes and thought I would like to play that one again.

The Greens were the star of the show. Nice but very very very slow. Outside of that the course was a eye sore. Being closed for a year u would think the hype around the course it would have been beautiful. Everything else wasn’t great. Not a bad play if ur a high handicapper looking to just play. But if u got some game go to hidden creek, been in the area by far!

I was blown away by the changes made to an already great design. Course was closed for a year to build new greens and new irrigation system while county reworked their stormwater runoff project. Lots of positive changes for a much more enjoyable round of golf. Greens are super! Some areas where sod was laid haven't completely filled in but get to drop out of seams for now. I loved the course before, but now I really, really love it!

Could not believe the difference in this course from the years past.

Best greens in Northwest Florida and beats all the high price Destin courses.

If you enjoy playing fast on a great track, this is for you! My group played in 3 1/2 hours with two walking! I’ve played here before, and the greens are better than ever. You could play this course everyday and not get tired of it! I understand they’re doing a major renovation/restoration and will be closed for a couple of months. I can’t wait to see/play the renovated course! This is one great layout!

Tees, greens and bunkers were all in good shape. Fairways are in need of some work but if you keep it in play you’ll have a decent lie most of the time. Bermuda is still coming out with spring. It was an enjoyable round at a reasonable $35 rate , except for the group of 6 hackers that wouldn’t let anyone through on the back.

As other reviews indicate, the course needs some

work. Fairways are rough and have a lot of bare spots.

Greens were Ok. Not the best but sufficient.

Carts are getting old and driver seat had some upholstery missing a and foam exposed.

Not a bad track but in dire need of TLC.

Greens ant tee boxes are great, but fairways suck!

Been playing for one year this month. Shalimar Point in is my go-to Club. It's priced well, the staff has got to know us... to bad for them lol , and the course is challenging and in great condition. I recommend that you take time to play a round!

Course is in terrible shape. Fairways had little grass and there were sandy dirt patches everywhere. Greens were actually ok. I paid $50 for my round which was double what it’s worth. Very disappointed.

Greens and tee boxes are in excellent shape. Pace of play was good - finished in a little under 4 hours. Rates are in line with others in the area (except the much higher ones in Destin). Good value, good greens, great weather, good time.

Course is in great shape. Greens and tee boxes are near perfection.

We were told the course would be closing starting in April for 4 months to install new water management system. This is needed as the course was very dry and not much grass in some locations. The course would be a great course once these changes are made and the grass has time to grow back.

I was surprisingly impressed with this golf course, and the obvious work the maintenance folks are doing to improve the course conditions. This is a hidden gem it the area. We recently renounced our membership at Bay Point in PCB because of poor course conditions and sub par club management. So it was refreshing to see the maintenance ongoing at Shalimar. There were a few greens that were spotty, but overall very palatable and fair. The fairways were also spotty in places, but again very playable. The carts were old, but got us around fine. Check out this great track, you won't be disappointed.

My brother and I were here around 2 months ago for a practice session and were favorably impressed. You could tell they were working hard on getting the course in better condition but it had seen hard times. We played a round of 18 yesterday and it was an absolute blast! You could definitely see the improvements made, especially on the greens. They were easy to read and the pace was consistent on every hole.

Congratulations to a hard working maintenance staff that is going to yield benefits for years to come!

Cannot wait for the fairways to green up a bit more and this place will be on our regular rotation!

Be prepared for a tough challenge with lots of bunkering and forced carries but you will be rewarded with sharp iron play!

I'd recommend one tee Box forward for your 1st outing here. We are around a 15 handicap and played from the green tee box and shot 89 and 94 respectively.

This place was just awesome. Got to see the ocean, and the whole course was just really cool! Extremely cheap for what it was too! Love this place., and staff was very nice!
