Seven Hills Golfers Club

About
Seven Hills Golfers Club in Spring Hill is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, a relatively secluded location that makes this course a hidden gem. Locals know that the course is one of the best golf values in the area. The links-style layout has appeal for players of any skill level. There are interesting risk-reward opportunities throughout and the fairways are wide and player friendly. The golf course has a few lengthy and narrow holes, which makes it play longer than what's indicated on the scorecard. The layout's par 3s are particularly challenging. In addition to some tricky doglegs, you'll encounter strategically placed bunkers guarding both the greensides and fairways. Your accuracy will be put to the test throughout Seven Hills Golfers Club but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Rough shape
The tee boxes are in bad conditions, the fairways seem ok, but the greens are very small and havent been cut in awhile.
Needs Maintenance
The first tee was a complete mess, bare spots and weeds. All the rest of the tees were full of weeds as were all the fairways. The greens at least were playable. Other than the greens I don't think they do any maintenance other than mowing and watering. Minimal attention could make a huge difference. It's cheap but still not worth playing.
Seven hills
Some challenging holes. Good green! Could be cut shorter.
Cant go wrong for 20 bucks
I had a great round of golf for 20 bucks. I was paired up with 3 others that got a hot deal and we had a great time. The tee box's were pretty rough but big deal the ball is tee'd up anyways. The greens were tiny and really slow but again for 20 bucks it was worth it. I would go back again however being new to the area I will definatly find another course and try out their hot deals. I did use the driving range before the round and it was in great shape. I thought it was kinda pricey at $4.50 for a small basket and probably wouldn't do that again. One thing I should mention about the fairways, when I did a google search of the course I was somewhat fearful that my slice would take out most of the homes on the right side, however once I got there my game was perfect. (HAHA just joking) I still sliced like crazy but the fairways were wide enough that I only hit a few houses. Nothing to bad.
For what I paid, it was good value
Cart paths were bumpier than the rough.
Most fairways had a few weeds - a couple were nice..
Grass was sparse in many areas in the rough.
Surprisingly hilly for a Florida course.
No water hazards, but lots of bunkers with nice soft sand.
Greens were above average in quality - held with all high shots, were consistent in speed, and had some nice slopes with interesting but fair pin placements.

Hello, you are correct. We just closed the purchase on August 10th, 2017 and we have a lot of work to do. It's obvious the prior owner gave up and didn't care about the condition or their customers. That is all going to change immediately. We hired Davey Golf Course Maintenance Division, a leader in this department, to turn the course around. We are also planning on a major clubhouse renovation. So please be patient, we have a lot of work to do and it's going to take some time. We already started cutting the greens back to their original size and are working hard to improve the conditions immediately.
Thank you so much for playing the course. If you have any questions, please contact Nate King, our General Manager on site at Seven Hills Golfers Club.

Seven Hills needs work
As first time players at the course, we had high expectations given the other courses we had played in the area. We were greeted by very friendly staff at the clubhouse and the putting green was well kept, so we had high hopes. When we got to the first tee, our hopes were somewhat dashed when we saw the conditions of the tee box and fairway. The tee box had plenty of bare ground and the fairway wasn't much better. The cart paths were in rough shape too. Fortunately the greens were in excellent shape. What this course needs is some serious TLC! Otherwise the layout was nice, snaking around the houses, with many wide fairways and plenty of bunkers to give the golfer a challenge. With a little work, this could be a gem.

Great value, friendly reception
Booked a great value "Hot Deal" as a single. When I arrived I was greeted in the Pro Shop by Sherrie behind the counter, she went out of her way to pair me with someone of similar age and ability. Very friendly and was a pleasure to deal with. I played on a very windy day that made it a little tougher than I think it normally would be. Tee Boxes need a lot of work (hardly any grass), yet the fairways were fine. Greens are very small. They putt true but are quite slow. Not a long course so I used my three wood off most par 4's and 5's. Cart paths in spots are worn out. No water hazards to speak of on the course. Bunkers did not have any rakes and neither did my cart. Great course for short hitters/beginners. I will definitely return just because of how nice Sherrie in the Pro Shop treated the golfers.
Nice layout okay shape
This course needs a starter, we had 11 people on one hole and there was 6 people playing together, took 5 hrs to complete the round
This course is somewhat challenging
The course was in very good condition but the greens were a little slow to putt. It seems like every time we play the course the greens get smaller and smaller. This puts a premium on shot accuracy. The pace of play was very good (4 hrs) and we did not wait on any hole. The only negative fact was the snack bar closed at about 5:15 pm way to early when you have a 1:00 pm tee time and can not get a drink, use restroom or anything after playing Would recommend this course.
Save your Money
Course is NOT taken care of. Cart paths are more like "death traps" with all the pot holes. Tee boxes are bare dirt, the only thing watered I believe, are the greens. Noticed more than normal signage about not bringing beverages onto the course but found the water that they do provide empty in every case. Not good for a warm day when we played. Golfers playing have no regard for their tee times and just go if nobody is in their way. Found this when the couple ahead of us started 15 minutes early but then did let us go ahead when we asked about their tee time. Did Not want to play together either. Course of play was so slow and below average conditi

OK
Course was nice. The woman in clubhouse was not friendly at all. She had us wait to sign in until 10 min. from teetime evan though not crowded at all. No time to warmup or practice putting. We have decided not to return.

Has seen better days
While the greens were in excellent condition, the fairways have seen better days. The cartpaths are a bit rough so take care with your cart, the ride can be bumpy. This course still shows the effects of the closure several years ago, but it looks like they are trying to get it back into better condition. The price was right at $20 including the booking fee.

Nice course
Cart paths were ruff.
Gal in snack shop was very rude & seemed put out when I asked for water & when I told her to contact the pro shop as the water coolers on the course were empty she walked away in a huff.
good course / small greens
For winter in Florida, this course was in good shape.
Green are watered and are in good condition (smooth)but small and on the slower side.
Couldn't wait to get back to FL!!
Looking forward to returning to Seven Hills. Loved the golf and great Bloody Mary's!,
So very disappointed
My wife and I have played here off and on for over 10 years. After today's experience NEVER again; at least not under the current management, which I dont think will be too long. After playing two holes in about 10 minutes we caught up with a single that was following a single following a foursome. From that point it took over an hour to play two holes. Frustrated with the pace, we decided To call it quits. We went back to clubhouse and ask for a rain check because we had no intention of spending 6 hours on the golf course. At that rate we would not finish before dark. The cashier behind the counter in an accusing manner refused to give us a rain check. She acted as if we were for some reason trying to rip her off. When I ask her if she was going to give us a rain check or a refund, her direct answer was "no!" Where I come from the customer is always right! Thank you Golfadvisor for a place to share horrible experiences so others don't have too.

Awesome! We really like this course and look forward to spending our money here again.
