Seven Hills Golfers Club

About
Seven Hills Golfers Club in Spring Hill is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, a relatively secluded location that makes this course a hidden gem. Locals know that the course is one of the best golf values in the area. The links-style layout has appeal for players of any skill level. There are interesting risk-reward opportunities throughout and the fairways are wide and player friendly. The golf course has a few lengthy and narrow holes, which makes it play longer than what's indicated on the scorecard. The layout's par 3s are particularly challenging. In addition to some tricky doglegs, you'll encounter strategically placed bunkers guarding both the greensides and fairways. Your accuracy will be put to the test throughout Seven Hills Golfers Club but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

course
This course has seen some improvement. Greens were fair to good.
The Seven
Condition getting better w/ new guys. 2 weeks I'll go again. I like place.
Good Improvement
Vast improvement since we played back in September. Fairways were in much better shape as so were the greens except still have weeds in it but no where near as bad as it was. We gave this course a few months under the new management to see if worth coming back, and it is. Given more time, and if they continue with their improvements, this course may become one of our favorites.
Rebuilding
Course under new management. They are working on greens and fringe ( seeded ) The fairways , tee box not much grass I hope they will be doing that next . Great layout going to take time to get course in good shape . Keep up the good work in trying to restore this golf course
Dirt course
I thought I was playing a course in Florida. The fairways had very little grass on them so you were hitting off dirt. The greens had different weeds growing up all over. The sand traps had sand all out of the bunkers. It was only $10 but a waste of my time. Sorry!
nice elevation changes
New management. Greens are in good shape and getting better and larger. Tee boxes and fairways definitely need more work and water. Very few water hazards. Sand traps were in ok condition. Fairways have ample landing areas. Overall nice layout with lots of elevation changes. The desk attendant was very pleasant, as compared to previous personnel....and the Front Nine and Back Nine have been reversed......
Course Under New Ownership
I really hope the new owners spend the capital and provide the expertise to bring this course back to an enjoyable experience. The tract is awesome, just needs some major work. Many fairways totally devoid of grass/turf. Terrible neglect from previous owners.
Great Layout real Potential
New Owners in the last month. A lot of work is required to bring the course up to a decent level. The layout is awesome and with some hard work, committed owners and TLC, this course could really be the place to play locally.
I wish the new owners best of luck and a successful business venture, for selfish reasons as well as to just see them do well for their investment.
Has potential
The course recently sold, and the new owner wil have his hands full bringing the fairways and tee boxes back around again. The greens were in fairly good shape.
we like this course due to the layout and challenge.
Hoping it comes back into better shape

Hello, you are correct. We just closed the purchase on August 10th, 2017 and we have a lot of work to do. It's obvious the prior owner gave up and didn't care about the condition or their customers. That is all going to change immediately. We hired Davey Golf Course Maintenance Division, a leader in this department, to turn the course around. We are also planning on a major clubhouse renovation. So please be patient, we have a lot of work to do and it's going to take some time. We already started cutting the greens back to their original size and are working hard to improve the conditions immediately.
Thank you so much for playing the course. If you have any questions, please contact Nate King, our General Manager on site at Seven Hills Golfers Club.

Course is in bad shape, except greens.
Fairest full of no grass, no weeds, just dirt in many places. To improve the lie on the fairway often meant placing your ball on weed beds as there was no grass in the area. Good drives often hit bare dirt, which in Florida means sand, and did not have any roll. Won't be going back unless something changes dramatically.

What did they do
It was so sad to see a course I played as a kid turn into a cow pasture. They took roundup or something and made the greens into tiny crop circles. The course has all this character but they just let it overgrow everywhere while the fairways are mud and weeds.
I can't imagine how the people mostly retirees who bought homes and invested in the community feel about it. Just a total waste of what could be a good golf course

Bad shape. Much worse than nearby courses.
It's dry here now, so some dry spots is understandable, but this course was way worse the others in the area. Where grass and weeds did grow, they didn't mow. I also lost a lot of balls because all leaves from last winter was still lining the fairways.

Tincuppp, you are correct and no need to apologize. We just closed the purchase on August 10th, 2017 and we have a lot of work to do. Thank you so much for playing the course and I am sorry if you had a unpleasant time. We are working very hard right now and just finished overseeding the course. This will help a great deal for the winter months. But our challenge will still remain in spring to kill off the remainder of weeds and get the grass to grow back. Understanding instead of leaving a 1-star review would be nice at this time. As your review does not reflect the prior ownership and falls on our shoulders and average review ratings.
