The Shores of North River Golf Club

This course was surprisingly fun and challenging. It is well maintained and the greens are in great shape, fast with lots of elevation change. I can’t wait to play it again!

This course represents good value for money. It has no sand traps but several water hasards. The fairways and greens were in good condition. It does not have long par 4 and 5. and can be played within 3 to 3.5 hours depending of the crowd.

It was raining in Stuart when I left home, but it was dry at The Shores of North River. I was able to start play right away and had no problems. New Management is doing a great job in updating course and everything was in greay shape considering how much rain we had in recent days.

I have played this course several times. The reason is simple, it is a short course, from the white tees 4161 yards. It affords some challenges because of water and bunker placement. It can be played in a shorter period of time than a full size course. It has 6 par 3's and 12 par 4's, so unless you hit your drives 300+ yards you can use your driver often and get close enough to the hole to get a lot of practice with your short game. The reason for my low rating is that when there has been some rain for a couple of days … I recommend going to another course for a few days because there are drainage problems on this course. It was very wet when I played it on almost every hole. The staff is great and very helpful.

I played this course for the first time today. The course layout was fine, greens conditions were fair. Definitely a good course for beginners and part time golfers. I do not recommend experience golfers playing this course. The price was cheap, so was the experience

Was able to get started ahead of my tee time. Course looked great, but where were the golfers? Ohhh!! I caught up to a threesome, two were playing golf, it appeared for the first time. They were gracious and waved me through. From then on I had not one other golfer(s) ahead of me for the entire round. However, the grounds crew was busy working on the course, specifically the greens.

I was a beautiful day and winds were relatively non existent!!

I played ok, wish I had done better! All in all a great day!

Beautiful day! Everything went fairly smoothly until last 4 holes which we had a slight hold up while we waited for foursome that was in front of us.

Perfect weather, not a perfect round!! Warm, sunny, breezy and not too humid!! Course Conditions for the most part were great!! However, some soft muddy spots still existed even though drainage has been greatly improved over the last several years!! Unfortunately, some greens had been top coated, which hampered my putting! I was pleased to see that the fairway stump on 10 has been removed! I don’t know how many times it “stumped” me during the years I’ve been playing here. Seems like any obstacle in my view is like a magnet for my ball!! LOL!!

Pace of play was wonderful until the 12th hole when I finally caught up with the crowd that was having an outing or group play? I joined up with another single golfer and we enjoyed a slower pace but at least we could converse when we had to wait for those ahead of us!! However, I still finished the round in two and a half hours!!

Great day......wish my score would have been better!!

The course condition and quality of the greens are considered average overall. This was expected based on the volume of daily play and lower green fee prices . I played 3 wood & Iron shots from the back tees, on the ground with the intent to practice my longer approach shots and missed green short game shots. This is a great place for the average golfer with good value for the cost to play.

Staff is great, course needs some work. greens very slow. Still a good day of golf!

The course is fairly short, only a par 66. The course has a nice layout and was a pleasure to play. I will play it again in the future.

First time playing since returning to Florida after summering in Maine. But, I was not prepared for the heat and humidity!!! Being that we had a lot of rain the last few days, I found the course soft and muddy in a lot of areas, which was to be expected. I must say, though, the course drainage is much improved from previous years!!! After starting on the back nine, I made the turn and met up with a young golfer starting on 1 who I joined up with. He was a great guy and we enjoyed the front nine together. The greens and tee boxes were in nice shape. The fairways, where they were dry, were also in very good condition. I played relatively well and enjoyed my round. I was also pleasantly surprised, when i pulled into the parking lot, that it has been paved and much improved from this Spring!!

Congratulations to the owner who has been improving the course, clubhouse and now the parking, making this golf course a gem!! I’ll be back a lot over the next 7 months!!!

We were rained out and couldn't play. Not sure if they're going to refund our money though.

Good course for relaxing round. Challenging enough for beginners to enthusiasts.

Course is in very good condition and I noticed new sod in places to improve the course for the winter months.
