Chickasaw Point Golf Course

The fairways, greens, and most tee boxes are in really good shape, and the food at the grill is excellent. The bratwurst at the turn was especially good.

The layout, though, was the biggest letdown for me. Leave your driver at home because you won’t need it. I hit an 8-iron off the tee on one par 4. I actually enjoy courses that make you hit different clubs off the tee, but this felt more like a grind than variety. Small landing areas with immediate OB or hazards make for a very long day, and the incredibly thick rough compounds the problem on a course that already demands so much target golf.

If you love doglegs, this is absolutely the course for you. Conditions are good, food is great, but the layout just wasn’t my cup of tee.

I can’t believe I never heard of this course. I live in Charlotte but I drive all over to find a new course to play. I’ve pretty much played every course in this area that I wanted to play but never heard of this Little Gem. Not a long course but the uphill greens on almost every hole will challenge you . But the highlight for me and unnerving was the BEAR that ran across the 15th fairway that had me shook for the next few holes..😂 Been golfing over 30yrs and never seen a BEAR on a course.. Would play it again but never alone 🏌🏾‍♂️

Very nice course. You will be challenged to be accurate off the tee. Greens are in great shape. Staff was very friendly. I look forward to playing again.

I’ve played all types of courses. And this one was unique. Course is in great shape. It’s short. Tee boxes were a little rough but overall in I was pleased with the course. Pace of play was awful, but I was a single. However it would not have been so bad if it wasn’t for these two couples playing who were awful. I’m ok with women playing golf but they have to know when to pick-up the ball.

Challenging golf through gorgeous hills. Had a bear walk out in front of us. Greens in very good condition. Blind shots. Carts should have GPS for the price. Restaurant is fantastic.

I really enjoyed this course. It was in great shape. The layout is very hilly with almost every green severely elevated, making it challenging.

Really enjoyed this course. Relatively short off the white tees but a more accomplished player should play the blue tees. Outstanding conditions and a layout that forces smart shot making off the tee or gives the player the option to shape the shot. Great elevation changes and a scenic course. Pace of play was also outstanding. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Felt very welcomed there. Price was a great value for a high quality course. Definitely coming back.

My experience in the pro shop was horrendous. I’m stopping on the 4th hole to write this review, so my round isn’t even over yet, and I felt compelled to write it now. I went in and the pro shop employee was finishing with another guest, no problem. I got to the counter and told him I had a tee time at 8:30am booked through GolfNow—“no you don’t” was his response. Uhh yes I do I booked it. He then said, oh I see it I must have sent somebody else under your name. That mistake, annoying yes, but whatever so I wasn’t flustered. “It’s showing all 0s” he said, meaning the price. I said, yeah I pre-paid online so I just show up and play. “No, you didn’t pay”. Yes, I did I got a receipt. “Sir, you didn’t pay”. I said “do you want me to show you my receipt where I paid? “Yeah let’s do that” he said condescendingly. I showed him my receipt showing “Golf and Chickasaw” and where I paid. He then said, “That doesn’t mean anything”. I was beyond living at this point. He then said, I’m not going to argue with you, after I showed him the most clear evidence imaginable. This guy should not work anywhere NEAR the public. He was aggressive and argumentative from the start and ruined an otherwise great experience. The course itself looks great and would have been awesome to add to the rotation, but after this experience I doubt I will ever return.

The front 9 was more of what I’ve read in previous reviews, shorter holes, more target Golf with not a lot of room. The back line was different. Longer, more open, but too many approach shots that were straight uphill, making it more difficult. Greens were in great shape, but just inconsistent in how the ball rolled especially off chips. Would play here again.

This is a ball placement course. You won't need your driver on many of the holes. I enjoyed that it makes you think through your round and plan where you need to hit your ball. The course was in excellent condition with lush fairways and well manicured greens. I felt the greens had a lot of break in them which made putting challenging. Ill be back to better my score next time and possibly eat dinner in the club house. Everyone said the foods great.
