The Hooch Golf Club sits along the Chattahoochee River in Duluth, sprawling across a scenic landscape covered with ponds and lakes. The course is an executive, par-61 layout that combines traditional features with modern challenges. Although there aren't any par 5s on the golf course there are a few holes that stretch to over 400 yards, which guarantees that you'll be using all the clubs in your bag. There is plenty of water throughout the golf course, including three holes that play right along the river. It might not be what you're looking for if you want something truly formidable, but for a short course it's a good challenge that provides excellent iron practice. Besides the golf course, The Hooch is also known for its 12-acre, lighted driving range. There are also putting and chipping greens with a deep-faced practice bunker.

Good first impression
Overall for the value this was great! The only thing was there are no par 5, only 3 and 4’s. But overall really fun, can’t beat the value!
Overall good experience
This is an all par 3 / 4 course. Very Good outing. Pace of play good. I would go again. I’d like to take my daughter who just started playing. Staff very friendly. Starter extremely accommodating.
Great little course
Great little course to hone your short game. Greens just got punched. Recommend play it 15 May. Too bumpy for good putting right now. Sand traps are a wreck from the rains. Great course and driving range. AWSOME value.
Best in a long time
Please keep the greens looking good and repair your ball marks. If you’re like me you’re doing yours and a few more. Greens are pristine and they’re trying to keep the fairways up. Cart path only but greens made up for it. Keep up the good work. It’s looking good!
Great short course after work
Friendly staff. Decent course layout and conditions are good for this time of year. Only issue was the foursome ahead of us hitting multiple balls each. Etiquette is unfortunately not taught these days. The four pairs that were backed up behind them was a bit much. At least we consolidated into foursomes.
Customer service???
I am not one to bash people as I know everyone has bad days, but the whole staff minus the morning starter were beyond rude throughout the day. Seems like they were actually going out of their ways to be rude, especially the young man behind the register. Also, there were only 2 places on the course to get water, other than the smelly algae infested ponds that were on the course and the clubhouse had no kitchen or bar. i will not be returning, even with the free round the guy comped me after I complained at the end of my round. The afternoon starter actually was the main problem as he was rude in all 3 of his meetings with our group. When I went to complain after the round, the young man behind the counter said, "Well I guess I will just give you the free round you are obviously are trying to get from complaining, will that make you happy?" Enough said!!
Great course for value and facilities
I’ve played the Hooch many many times in the last year. The course is normally in good shape. They do a great job with sitting so low and being on the Chattahoochee River. Casual water is normal after a day of rains. The greens and fairways during the season are very good. Divots are normal on the green though. The staff is always very nice and helpful in anyway. The practice facilities are top notch also. For the value it’s one the best executive courses in metro Atlanta

Large pools of standing water on many holes. course did not make us aware of these conditions prior to play.
Flooded out
Played Nov 21st Course still flooded on holes #1, 4, 6; very wet on 11, 17. I previously played on June 21st
Awesome for the money
Ever feel like a good day of golf is only when you have a good day with your driver? Not here. Only a few par 4s, but plenty of fun and some challenging par 3s to practice your short game. I definitely needed it. Great beginners course, but challenging enough from the tips for great practice for seasoned players. Will be playing this course again, especially at these prices.
