Golfer Reviews
Greens are in rough shape
As are many in GA right now. Otherwise a fun course and well maintained.
Not bad, far from great
First time playing this course, it’s a little overrated in my opinion. It’s a good course, not great by any means. Greens were a bit rough, pace of play even rougher. Always seem to get stuck behind the group that just kills pace of play and nothing gets done about it. Pace was so slow that I was playing alone and 3 guys walking were catching me at every hole because of the foursome in front of me, should never happen. I asked to play through and they wouldn’t have it, like I asked them for cash or something, totally uncalled for.
Greens were inconsistent and some were beat up but rest of the course was in good condition.
NICE!
I had the opportunity to shoot a twilight round at River Pines... NICE WORK!
The greens were in solid condition, the fairways were green and the lies were nice... I mean... for $45, and even for $90 - great value!!! Congrats to the staff and keepers.... great shape, great course conditions!
Greens were not in the best condition(cuts end to end on most of them) but otherwise in good shape.
Great place and staff
Riverpines is always a great place to play! The staff is great and the pace of play is always good. The only thing it can improve on is its greens but besides that everything else is great!
On The Mend
I’ve played RiverPines for about five years, and this is the best condition I’ve seen it in. The greens have improved dramatically from previous years, when they struggled with disease and thin coverage. They’re now faster, healthier, and clearly receiving more attention.
The course still sees heavy traffic, so unrepaired ball marks and fairway divots are common, but that’s more on the golfers than the maintenance staff.
The tee boxes and chipping green still need improvement, and I don’t think the current conditions fully justify the price. Even so, the progress is obvious. If past conditions kept you away, I’d recommend giving RiverPines another try.
Best I’ve seen.
Conditions were the best I’ve seen seen for 10 years! Team has done a fantastic job
