For the money, I don’t know of a better course around.
Mixed Feelings
Pace of play was slow. The greens were spotty and really slow. The bunkers need help. However the layout is nice and the fairways are in good shape.
Great layout, great value
I feel like this place is one growing season away from being a great course. The layout and elevation changes are great. The back is in better condition than the front. Looks like several greens had nematode damage. You can tell they're working on conditions.
First time playing here...nice suprise
I was pleasantly suprised with my experience at Timberlake. Every person I interacted with during my round was very friendly and welcoming. From staff to other golfers and the Pro who is also the owner ...these are nice people. This was an interesting and fun layout. I was hitting it pretty good that day too ,so ..bonus! There is a little water, some rolling elevation changes, some tree lined holes as well as some quite open holes that are more a linksy vibe. There were a few thin spots on some greens and I played about 3 or 4 weeks after they were punched. Greens were still nice just a little slower because the super hadn't cut them lower after the healing process. By the time you read this I'm sure they will be plush and couple points faster on the Stimp. I had a great convo with the owner/pro. He had recently treated the greens to solve a nematoad problem and had sod coming in to replace a few patchy areas.Fairways were very nice and the owner was in the process of adjusting mowing to create different heights of grass to better define the fairways ,2nd cut and rough. Future plans call for a new clubhouse. This is a hidden gem of a course at a great value. It was busy for a mid week day. I played by myself but teamed up with a local high school golfer for a few holes. Several groups let me play thru (I didn't even ask...they quickly offered...awesome!)but I wasn't really in a hurry. Thankfully I hit good shots and got out of the way pretty quick. Tees were very good. I saw a few reviews that complained about tee condition but nothing I saw or experienced was in poor condition...especially compared to where I usually play...Keep in mind when reading and writing reviews...if you are playing for $25 to $40 ...don't be a JA and review like you paid $150 at Pinehurst. Same with pace of play...Fri Sat or Sun on any popular track...it's 4.5 to 5 hrs so if you are in such a hurry...just stay home. I think this course will continue to improve and impress.Easy 5 stars and I will be back.PS please buy our club...you know which one lol
Timberlake
2nd time played this course. I like the layout. We like playing here because its very accessible and affordable. Pace of play is excellent, I have never seen it over crowded. Course is in "good" condition for a semi-private entity. I would be disappointed with it's condition if I were a member. There is no food available, except for snacks, but that maybe due to the lack of member support. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The weather has been brutal but the course was still in great shape. It’s a fair track with receptive greens.
Coirse tp myself
Had the course to myself. It was brutally hot day. The course is really dry. Lack of rain is starting to show on greens. They were slow from being long. Still a fun day i enjoy the layout there and the price
great value for the cost
Greens are less bumpy than last time I played and should get better after they do the aeration next week. Would be nice if they had a 2-3 inch rough around the fairways so balls don't roll off into the deep weeds and rough that make the balls almost impossible to find.
great course for the price
My favorite course as it's challenging but not overly difficult. Greens are hard to read and some greens are kind of bumpy making speed and line hard to maintain. I'll still play here however.
Great Value and Would Play Again!
This course was a bit of a drive but a friend on mine and I were looking for a place to play that wouldn’t break the bank but also was in good shape. I saw some reviews and decided to give Timberlake a shot. When it was all said and done, with it being a hot deal and being a golf pass member we paid $12 each. Amazing deal. Less than a dollar a hole!!
I played the tips and my friend played the whites. It was a fun day, and we played in under 4 hours. One group let us go through and we waited behind a foursome for the last 5 holes or so but it wasn’t much of a wait.
The tee boxes and fairways were in fair shape, and the greens were full and in solid condition with the exception of a few bare spots which never really came into play as the placed the flags away from the greens. They did have a lot of grain and were pretty slow, but in great shape and rolled true.
For the price, it honestly felt like a steal and they had just put in new tee markers that were very nice. Seems like they are taking care of this place and trying to make it as good as possible.
Get out, have fun, and go low!! You won’t regret visiting Timberlake.
Just keeps getting better!!!
I've been playing here for several years and let me tell you what, the new owner is turning this course into a 5 star+ golf course....from the course itself to the amenities...can't wait to see the new proshop and restaurant!!! If you haven't been here for a while...go!!! Watch this "diamond in the rough" turn into a premier golf facility...staff is already 5 star!!!! New bunkers are beautiful!!!
Greens need some work
Love playing here but putting is difficult because greens seem to be bumpy which makes speed and keeping the line on putts difficult.
Greens were bumpy
Course was in decent shape but greens were bumpy so it was near impossible to hole any putts outside of 7-8 ft.
