great value for the cost
Greens are less bumpy than last time I played and should get better after they do the aeration next week. Would be nice if they had a 2-3 inch rough around the fairways so balls don't roll off into the deep weeds and rough that make the balls almost impossible to find.
great course for the price
My favorite course as it's challenging but not overly difficult. Greens are hard to read and some greens are kind of bumpy making speed and line hard to maintain. I'll still play here however.
Great Value and Would Play Again!
This course was a bit of a drive but a friend on mine and I were looking for a place to play that wouldn’t break the bank but also was in good shape. I saw some reviews and decided to give Timberlake a shot. When it was all said and done, with it being a hot deal and being a golf pass member we paid $12 each. Amazing deal. Less than a dollar a hole!!
I played the tips and my friend played the whites. It was a fun day, and we played in under 4 hours. One group let us go through and we waited behind a foursome for the last 5 holes or so but it wasn’t much of a wait.
The tee boxes and fairways were in fair shape, and the greens were full and in solid condition with the exception of a few bare spots which never really came into play as the placed the flags away from the greens. They did have a lot of grain and were pretty slow, but in great shape and rolled true.
For the price, it honestly felt like a steal and they had just put in new tee markers that were very nice. Seems like they are taking care of this place and trying to make it as good as possible.
Get out, have fun, and go low!! You won’t regret visiting Timberlake.
Just keeps getting better!!!
I've been playing here for several years and let me tell you what, the new owner is turning this course into a 5 star+ golf course....from the course itself to the amenities...can't wait to see the new proshop and restaurant!!! If you haven't been here for a while...go!!! Watch this "diamond in the rough" turn into a premier golf facility...staff is already 5 star!!!! New bunkers are beautiful!!!
Greens need some work
Love playing here but putting is difficult because greens seem to be bumpy which makes speed and keeping the line on putts difficult.
Greens were bumpy
Course was in decent shape but greens were bumpy so it was near impossible to hole any putts outside of 7-8 ft.
Fun course with challenges
Always fun to play course emerging from winter. However very playable
Must Play Course
Shot my best score on this challenging course last year. Came back a year later and it’s in even better shape than before. Great work out their team.
Good course for the money
Great value on a country golf course. Setting is okay but worth the drive for the minimal fees. Would play here again.
Great course.
Great course, play here all the time. Only gripe is several of the greens need some major work. Bad spots were repaired poorly leaving quite a few unplayable spots. Have been like this for over a year.
Timberlakes Golf Course
Very good course conditions and the greens were in excellent shape.
TIMBER !!!!
This is a great venue, maybe the only one I will drive 40 minutes to go to. The staff are super friendly, nice and neat pro shop, clean restrooms. And I always play well here. This was the fourth time Ive played this course, and I feel like I know it well already. My partner and I really like this place.
Links style course...lot of blind shots
Very challenging if you've never played here because of the mounds you have to hit from. Course was still damp from snow melt and rain so several approach shots that missed the green were plugging in the soil. No fault of the course just stuff that happens with wet weather.
Did not get to play
There was a tournament going on and I did not get to play
Great course
First time playing this course and it did not disappoint. The course Has about five par 3 holes which I like. Some hoes were wide open and some were tight. and the locals take care of their courses by fixing their divots on the green. Wonderful greens. Would highly recommend this course.
Bit of a breeze
Bit of a breeze,..not the course, just the cold wind until the sun broke out. The course was in great shape for the time of season, and we were very pleased with the layout. Staff was very friendly and inviting, and my playing partner and I are planning to go back as soon as possible. We played a Best Ball Scramble just for first-time familiarization and not to hold up anyone as we learned the course. We ended up with a 5 Under, 67. Come on, Spring.
