Great experience
I’ve played this course a few times. The staff is amazing! They’re always more than helpful. The course is in fair condition but they are working on improving the quality. It’s in much better shape than it was a few years ago. It’s a good value with fair green fees. Carts are in great shape. Most if not all of the residents that live along the course are friendly and welcoming even if you hit their house. This course has a great small town vibe all around.
Good For The Money
I have been playing this course since the late 90's. It is a nice course for 0+ handicappers, playing with friends and family. It is a perfect "home" course for me living 10 minutes away, and the green/cart fees are very budget friendly. The staff always makes you feel welcomed. Average course difficulty for 10 + handicappers and probably considered not too difficult for 0 to 9 ers. We play here every 1 to 2 weeks, and always enjoy our visit.
Very enjoyable
Fun course that's difficulty is not overwhelming. I shot the best score of my life here. Staff and other players are always extremely courteous and friendly. My friends and I will continue to return.
We used to recommend this course, but not as of May 18, 2013
We play here (37 miles from home) about once a year and have since it opened. What has happened? Fairways are thin and greens have a lot of bare spots. Even ball washers had no water.
We used to play the course fairly often in the 90s, but less since other courses have opened closer to home.
We won't go back for another year. How disappointing.
Sandy Ridge Dunn NC
Sandy Ridge is a fun but challenging course. Not only is there plenty of water to deal with, but as the name says, "sandy". Most holes are riddle with sand bunkers that let's the golfer work on their target practice, (ball placement). The greens are pretty challenging also. Although recently fertilized, the where running pretty fast.
For the price, I will be returning to Sandy Ridge for this challenge.
