Eagle Ridge Golf Club

I was a little weary of going here to play after reading other recent reviews but the course was in pretty good condition. I've played here many times in the past and have always enjoyed my round. The green on 10 has been replaced..so NO MORE TEMP GREEN like the other reviews said. There's a few spots on greens and fairways where the grass is dead from all the hot weather, but other than that it was good condition.

Great course, good layout, a very good challenge to any golfer.

I've been playing this course for a few years. They redid the greens last year and the course hasn't bounced back yet. I love the layout and the course is so convenient, but it is not worth the money they're charging. The green on #10 is not even being played, they cut a temporary green into the fairway. Give this course some more time before you pay their rates.

Tee boxes are thin and there are a few rough spots on the greens and fairways, but overall the course is rounding into good shape. (There is a temporary green on #10.)

This course requires thought about placement on the fairways--you just can't bomb every shot!

Fun course, greens need a little work - will be beautiful when the weather gets nice. Will definitely be back

looked at recent reviews...should've trusted them. fairways not dormant, but BARE. few greens were just "green paint". course is not in good shape at all.

Very disappointing to pay 45 bucks and not have grass in the fairways. Brand new greens already dead on most. Stay far away.

This course has gone south. The fairways were horrible with no grass and no sign of just dormant grass. They were actually dead, and numerous greens were horrible. This use to be a great track, but it has gone to the dogs. We spoke with a property owner, and he confirmed our perception that there was little work being done on the course. Please save your time and money and go play somewhere else. The pace of play was very slow with no ranger to be found.

Greens still not in the best of shape. Several had bare spots due to fungus or moss. Fairways still in dormant stage.

Eagle Ridge USED to be good.

It became a cheap course.

Always liked the layout, greens were soft for being replaced, but liked it; greens rolled "sneaky" quick but took the breaks, FWs were out of shape and very dormant, but it is a Fred Smith course so expected! If you ever played Fred Smith golf then you know zero funds go into the courses...sad...I recommend though because of staff, amenities and layout...

Could be premier if more love (monies) was put into it!

This course just didnt have what it takes to get a good review from me. The course conditions were fairly poor with one hole being completely closed due to winter kill. The entire course is somewhat gimmicky with a few odd holes. They did however have a decent range. I would not recommend the time to drive here and pay to play.

Very nice course for the money. There was one bad green and another bad fairway and green on another hole on front nine. Other than those two issues, this course was great and challenging. Highly recommended this course to be played. Definitely be back to play it again.

Eagle Ridge used to be one of the better courses in the Triangle. Sadly, it is now one of the worst. The only grass to be found was on the greens.
When you cannot get your course in better shape than RGA, you really have turned into a dog track.
The condition of the clubhouse, the golf course, and unfriendliness of the staff just shout "We stopped caring!".
Don't waste your time/money going here.

Soon to be a non-member. Been there 3 years, and course has continued to decline. Members do not matter, no improvement to tee boxes or fairways, bunkers are not bad, but need improvement. They do seem to concentrate on the greens more, but still not up to par. I'm at the point, that its time to exit. Embarrassed to take anyone there to play.

This is a quality golf course in the Raleigh area. if you are looking for a new golf course to play, make teh journey to Eagle Ridge, I think you will be pleasantly surprised when you are on the course.

Back 9 much more challenging than front, with 18th being a great finishing hole.

Friendly Staff and have always walked away this place on a positive note.

The day we played River Ridge they were hosting a Captain's Choice format golf tournament. We had an 11:30AM tee time which became a 12:40 tee time due to the tournament's slow play. We then had to play behind a few of the final tournament groups as they made the turn. This issue was not a fault of the golf course. I made our tee time thru GolfNow. If I had called the course directly to make the tee time they would have informed me of the tournament and would have most likely given me the option of making a tee time for another time or day. There needs to be a system in place that allows a golf course to notify Golf Now of any tournaments or events that might be going on the day a tee time is made that may make play extremely slow. Eagle Ridge is a great facility and the staff handled things very well. They actually gave us a 9 hole rain check due to it taking us almost 3 hours to play the front 9. We stopped after 9 due to having to be elsewhere by a certain time knowing the round was going to be over 5+ hours. Yes I would play there again but the on line system needs to have alerts to these type issues.

Slowest round I've played all year. (30+) I have never seen so many unpaired singles; ever. There were extremely slow foursomes as well. I play fast and have been spoiled by fast play at other courses, but this was horrible. No marshal to be found anywhere. Even if it was 11:30 am on a Tuesday. No excuse. I left after playing thru three groups in "eight" holes! Almost forgot, the course is in great shape. I have not played in years because the abundance of elevated and undulating holes, but the course was in great shape. Skeleton crew last Tuesday. I only saw 1 guy in the pro shop, lady at the grill, and a young man attending to carts during my visit. The pro shop guy spoke without any type of eye contact like I mattered at the least. I hate when my hard earned money isn't appreciated.

Course was not well maintained. Greens were pitted and sandy. Fairways were rough..
