Not worth the Green Fees they are charging
My son and I went out to Williams Creek to get some practice in with our irons. We have played this course several times in the past. This course has really gone downhill. The greens used to be great. The Tee boxes used to be nice and well kept. HOWEVER -- this time the greens had been aerated in the last few weeks and were still trying to recover. I understand that this is part of routine golf course maintenance, but it was like they have not even been cared for at all. As for the tee boxes, they were non-existent. Each hole had a mat to serve as the tee box. Everyone had to hit from the same location.
I understand that the maintenance of the course is required to get it ready for the summer months, but the way they are headed and the amount of play this course gets, it will not be ready for summer play. It doesn't look like it will be able to recover from the off season.
Also, these conditions are NOT worth the amount of money they are charging. The course management should be able to identify that their product is less than normal and should adjust the greens fees accordingly.
I hope they are able to restore this course to what it once was because it has a lot of potential and could be great.
Super fun golf course
This golf course is super fun to play even for advanced players. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The golf carts are exceptional with GPS and Bluetooth speakers. This is the first time I played the chorus and I would come back again. Thank you, Williams Creek
Kicked us off tee time, no refund given
Our party booked a slot for 4 golfers, but the course decided to let 2 others book our tee time. Told us only 2 could play, and then said we could get a refund if that didn’t work. Went to look at refund options and they are nonexistent.
Great short game round.
This course is great short game practice yet challenging. We played on a sunny December day and course was much better than anticipated for the time of year. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Will definitely return again we had a great day here.
How can't you love this place
If you don't love this place. You should try a different sport.
Did not play. The guy at the front desk was so rude and arrogant that I walked away without playing.
Blown away by the quality of this course
First off, I love playing golf in Tennessee; with the mountain views and challenging terrain, but coming from Florida I often find the quality of the greens, tee boxes, and fairways to be subpar. Even the private clubs up here have a hard time keeping the bunkers clear and refreshed and the putting surfaces free of crab grass. I get that it is harder to keep up the courses in TN with the changing seasons and cost of upkeep versus what folks are willing to spend. With all that being said, this course completely took me by surprise. Do not be fooled by the fact this is only a par 3; it's a real course maintained to the highest level I've played in the state. The course is maintained beautifully, it has a fun and challenging layout, awesome views and professional level of service from the staff. I will definitely be playing this one again.
