La Cita Country Club

Course is in terrible shape. They are about to loose the greens. I am going to give it a month or so before going back

The greens need work. Most greens had unputtable patches

No grass on the tea boxes at all, greens had baron burn spots and one has a bunker in it., Photo enclosed. It looks like they are still cleaning up from after the storms three weeks later. And tried to still charge @ 50$ at pro shop.

Played 2 weeks after hurricane blew thru, 6 holes cart path only, course really needs some care. Looks like it used to be great. Could still be with some care

Considering all the rain the course was in good condition.

Had a nice round of golf at LaCita. Staff is always friendly and very accommodating. Course has a really nice layout with lots of doglegs, elevation changes, and shots over water. Saw a friendly fox on hole number 2 that was relaxing itself around the tee box. Course is still cleaning up after hurricane so need to watch some shots carefully off of the fairway. Overall not bad for the money.

Understandable after hurricane. lot of debry and course needs a lot of mowing.

Course was in horrible condition, played as a single behind a slow foursome group through 12 holes. Only saw the ranger once from a distance, I don’t recommend unless you want something cheap and poorly kept up.

It would have been a three, but the greens were punched. Made putting a little difficult. You can tell this course used to be a gem, but it is really starting to slide downhill. I wish they would invest some money in fixing the cart paths, Which are crumbling in a lot of places. The greens were also weedy, the sand traps were overgrown. I wish a developer would come in and rescue this place because it could really be fantastic. They have the infrastructure and bones, the country club itself is very nice. Maybe if they offered steeply discounted memberships to the space industry or something, they would generate a lot more traffic and revenue for themselves.

We played on a Sunday and for $27 it was a fair price. The layout is great but the course condition leaves a lot to be desired.

The ladies who bought the place did a great job on the clubhouse but let the course go.

Spend some money on the course and that will bring in golfers. Because at the moment there is no one there…… it’s sad because it used to be so good.

Before I booked the round, I called ahead to find out if it was cart path only or normal. Talked to Eric, stated that the course was normal, no issues. When I arrive to play, there's a sign that says cart path only on 5 to 6 holes??? I could have been told that when I called, don't pull a bait and switch just to get income. Then when I checked in, the guy wasn't paying attention at all. Tried to give me a dirty cart, twice. Definitely was more interested in what the local group outing incoming scores instead of taking care of the usual business at hand, like managing basic stuff. Not happy. The course it's self was ok, nothing special, if I would have payed full price, I would have been really disappointed. Might return until the other other local course finishes their renovations, then after that, no more.
