La Cita Country Club

Greens were slow as snails and fairways were horrible! Hard to find a "grassy" area to replace your ball. I enjoy the layout but overall conditions made it an unpleasant round! Hope this improves sooner than later!

First, the fairways – or what’s supposed to be fairways – were nothing but sand. Not patchy. Not struggling. Just pure sand, like hitting off a beach with a couple tufts of crabgrass here and there. I've seen better lies in a bunker.

Then there's the sinkhole just off one of the tee boxes – yes, an actual sinkhole. Not marked, not roped off, just sitting there waiting to twist your ankle or worse. That’s a serious safety hazard that shouldn’t be ignored.

And the greens? Absolutely horrendous. Sandy, weedy, and inconsistent. You'd be better off trying to putt through a gravel driveway. It’s hard to tell where the green ends and the rough begins – if they even mowed it recently.

This course is clearly neglected, and it’s a shame because the layout could be decent with the right upkeep. Until serious maintenance and restoration happen, I’d strongly recommend avoiding La Cita. There are plenty of other options in the area that actually care about the playing experience.

The course is about 40 minutes from my house so I only play there about once a month but I like it . Lately.They’ve had some issues with maintenance probably the lack of rain but it’s a nice course with avariety of holes. It’s got some elevation changes and is generally interesting to play. There are several foxes that live on the course but they’re not aggressive.

I have played hundreds of different courses in my 50 years of golfing and this was the worst conditioned course I ever played.

The course was in terrible shape. This use to be a premier place to play but doesn’t even measure up to a county course. Most if not all tees had no grass, fairways were burnt, sandy and grass was sparse.

Everything is in horrible shape. They've totally given up. Greens look horrible, fairways dead, tee boxes are dirt. Just sell the course

This place is not in good shape. Course needs some help out of all 18 only about 3 holes were in good shape. Place needs some help.

Course was rated 4 Star so I booked a twosome. Clubhouse looked great and was nice. The course was terrible. Fairways were in bad shape, greens had patches of dead area and some sort of weed lumps. Tee area where ok . Cart was old and had tears in the seat bench on both sides. The rating on GN does not represent the actual course don't waste your money.

Had a fine round on La Cita with my wife today. The temps were a bit high (92) but the course was still cool!

We were duped again. after hearing the conditions had changed from previous years, we set up a tee time. Same old lacita, no grass anywhere, bumps and sandy spots on the greens and fairways. Its a nice layout and I do not understand why they do not put any money into the course to make i nice.

The course is much like my game. Needs a lot of work. Love the layout. Not so much,.the conditions. Se la vee.

Fun and challenging golf today at La Cita as the breeze picked up on the back 9.... Cam & Ryan in the clubhouse were cheerful. friendly, knowledgeable and efficient!
