Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown boasts the title of "best public golf course" in Delaware. The course has a links-style layout that is challenging but still player-friendly enough to appeal to beginners, seniors, and juniors. The layout is wide open and quite forgiving but there are still plenty of hazards with which to contend. There are more than 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Their thoughtful placement makes up the bulk of the layout's challenges. There are ponds that come into play on six holes as well as tall native grasses that appear along the fairways and greens. The wind is often a factor on the course too and will test your accuracy even further. Frog Hollow Golf Club's par 3s and par 5s are manageable but the par 4s will test even the best players.

Nice course
Frog Hollow has definitely improved the course over the last 2 years. Course was in great condition except for a few spots in a fairway or two.
Slow play
There were three groups of three in front of us playing slow and by the 15th hole THEY WERE ALL PLAYING TOGETHER! Is there a Ranger on duty?
Good course for beginner to mid-level golfer
Course is nicely designed and well maintained. With a nice bar sitting together, a good place to play with friends and have a beer after.
Course is fun
Frog Hollow is a fun course with angles off the tee boxes, challenging approach shots and greens that are interesting. A definite replay.
Pace of play needs better monitoring
Nice course,good layout. Play here often. Manager need to to keep pace of play moving. Last two rounds my group has sat behind golfers playing multiple balls.
5 days after greens aerification
I knew the greens were punched days prior but based upon knowledge of top dressing , subsequent maint. and recovery time I figured all was good... and it was ! inexpensive round on a beautiful fall (leafless) day. Bunkers have also seen some love recently which has not gone unnoticed. Patrick is obviously taking steps to keep the course at a standard on par w/ other local courses. The standards are and the rates are better . play it !
Frog Hollow - Hidden Gem
I drove an hour to play this course again and it did not disappoint me. I say that even though they had just aerated the greens and fairways. They did a great job!
Everything was in good to great shape. The tee boxes are huge, level and well taken care of. The fairways are better than some course's greens. The aprons were immaculate. The freshly aerated expansive greens rolled true. All of the sand traps had been recently groomed.
The Pro Shop attendant and starter were both friendly and welcoming. All in all, it was a delightful day to play such a nicely kept golf course!

Fully operational
With a whole season to repair and regrow, Frog Hollow is now back to the quality it was a few years agp prior to their irrigation issues.
Bunkers had a lot of water from heavy rain a couple days before, but otherwise the greens were better than other courses I've played recently and fairways were firmer than one would expect after so much rain.
FH is by far the best value for golf in Delaware.
