Frog Hollow Golf Club
About
Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown boasts the title of "best public golf course" in Delaware. The course has a links-style layout that is challenging but still player-friendly enough to appeal to beginners, seniors, and juniors. The layout is wide open and quite forgiving but there are still plenty of hazards with which to contend. There are more than 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Their thoughtful placement makes up the bulk of the layout's challenges. There are ponds that come into play on six holes as well as tall native grasses that appear along the fairways and greens. The wind is often a factor on the course too and will test your accuracy even further. Frog Hollow Golf Club's par 3s and par 5s are manageable but the par 4s will test even the best players.

First time
Course was in great shape, I’ll definitely be back. It was very crowded, took 5 hours.
Good pace
The pace of plat was very good. Good value for playing. Sand traps need some help. Solution is to avoid them.
Remarkable return to playability!!!
Frog Hollow has always been one of my favorite course in the Middletown,De area. The course fell on hard times a few years ago and now It is back.and challenging.
Fun track
Great course! Links style with nice fairways and consistant greens that were in great shape dispite ball marks not fixed by the group in front of me .
Best value for your Bucks
The Frog is back and in the best condition overall. This course is well maintained and pace of play seems never an issue. For the value and condition this is the place I'll be spending my money. The bar and food is excellent also, not to mention the staff that's always friendly and accommodating.
Much lower price point than a course of their quality would normally be. Didn’t use any off course amenities so I can’t speak to those.
Beautiful day on the course
Course was in great condition. Mid week and course wasn’t that crowded. Some of the par 4’s on back 9 seemed long. They moved the senior tees back . Great day , come over and play here !!!!
Nice coyrse
The only drawback today was a threesome ahead of us who took longer because husband or boyfriend was teaching the woman how to play. She hit the ball repeatedly until she got a decent hit. They should have aloques s to go ahead.
The best bar none
I don’t usually do reviews but here goes. 1. This is the only course in Delaware that I’ve been able to go to without booking a tee time and mostly got a chance to play. 2. The course is always well maintained and no matter how much of a high demand they are in , they never over inflate their prices like others I’ve seen do . I have paid full price and played half the game without feeling robbed. 3. They have a new fleet of reduced noise and faster moving carts .
Talking about it got me feeling like I should go back tomorrow morning which I’ll be doing at 11am.
Yes , I am recommending you go and play .
Frog Hollow hopping again!
Frog Hollow was one of my favorite courses but I hadn’t played it since June/July 2019 when the condition of the greens and course in general nose-dived. (I found out today the apparent reason: Back then, a lightning bolt disabled their irrigation system for days during a major hot spell, and the greens basically died.)
Today, 5/27/21, I was pleasantly surprised – the course is in very good condition.
Gret course
Greens are full of ups and downs and the course has some challenging holes for a golfer like me.
Good course -Potential to be Very Good
Overall course is very good. Bunkers have come a long way over the past 2 years but most do need more sand.
This Course was it great condition
Even though the weather has been very dry, the course was in fantastic condition.
Staff was great, as always, and very professional.
My compliments the to Frog Hollow Staff, they have really improved this course.
Frog Hollow....not so froggy anymore
Frog Hollow has put some serious effort into bringing this course back to good standards. The only complaint would be the bunkers. They need sand. Everything else was a solid 8 out of ten. Tee boxes, fairways and greens all in great shape. This course was on it was to being a goat farm, now it resembles a proper golf complex. My compliments to Mgt, staff and the greens keeper.
The layout of Frog Hollow has always been good. With multiple tee boxes to challenge all levels.
In all, a great day on a solid golf course.
