Frog Hollow Golf Club
About
Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown boasts the title of "best public golf course" in Delaware. The course has a links-style layout that is challenging but still player-friendly enough to appeal to beginners, seniors, and juniors. The layout is wide open and quite forgiving but there are still plenty of hazards with which to contend. There are more than 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Their thoughtful placement makes up the bulk of the layout's challenges. There are ponds that come into play on six holes as well as tall native grasses that appear along the fairways and greens. The wind is often a factor on the course too and will test your accuracy even further. Frog Hollow Golf Club's par 3s and par 5s are manageable but the par 4s will test even the best players.

Better conditions then a few years ago.
For the middle of winter the conditions and price were ok. A couple years ago every hole was lined with tall fescue and caused the round to be much longer and lose balls where in the past was just normal rough. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape. Bunkers are terrible and need new sand. Greens were in ok shape with some patchy spots but rolled fairly well and were slow. If you live in the area it’s worth playing but if you are traveling to play there are plenty of better courses in the area with same pricing.
22$ for 18 on a chilly high 40's Sunday in January. Course was in good shape all things considered (Besides bunkers mostly needing to be rake and place but it's winter in Delaware what do you expect). Bar area is nice and hot dogs were great. Had a fun outing and will come back. Course definitely gave us a challenges as well.
Frog Hollow for a great day!
Got a great deal and everything was great. Course was wet and cart path only all day. Got a little more exercise, that's all. Pin placement was good. Greens in good shape too.. we had a burger and some Nachos in the Pub after the round. Wait staff was friendly and fun.
Course was fun
The course was pleasant to the eye. Plenty of bunkers with a little water.
Course layout, conditions, and friendly staff.
Patrick Keefe and staff make the play at Frog Hollow enjoyable. The course is challenging especially on the back nine and provides high value for greens fees paid.
This is the type of course that can be played and enjoyed every day. A testament to the course’s attractiveness is the increasing amount of play. Although crowded at times, the pace of play is above average. I’d suggest that anyone who has not played Frog Hollow should give it a try. As we look toward the next golf season in 2021, FH will continue to be in high demand.
really fun
I like this course more every time I play. there are some easy holes, some hard holes, and some really hard holes on the back nine.
Fun Course - High Handicapper
I like this course for the play and price. Course is always enjoyable and seems well maintained. Having a terrible slice, the houses on some holes seem to be a little overwhelming. If you can drive straight, then you’re golden. Being a high handicapper; I was excited to birdie two Par 3s when I played last. The 19th hole has good selection of drinks with coolers that attach on the cart, and the food was fantastic. Definitely recommend, and I will be back a lot more.
Nice place to play
The layout of the course is very challenging and fun, our group always says Frog Hollow has the hardest three (3) finishing holes in the state 16, 17, & 18.
The staff is always respectful .
Enjoy making Frog Hollow my primary place to play.
Great shape
Course was in great shape greens rolled true.
Played under 4 hours.New carts and staff is friendly.
Course is in good shape except for the sand traps.
Also, pin placements are not player friendly.
Either on side of hill, or less then 15’ from edge of green. This effects pace of play because consistent 3 and 4 putts. If you want to increase rounds, it is important to create pin placement that is accessible. Customers / players like playing where they can score well.
Making the course unnecessarily difficult is foolish. For the player and to optimize sales and rounds played.
Frog Hollow
First time playing here. The staff was very helpful and the starter paired me with a couple who were friendly and personable. The course was in very good condition and the pace of play was great.
Looking forward to playing there again
Great day
Conditions have vastly improved. Great job by staff and course groundscrew to bring this gem back to life.
