Frog Hollow Golf Club
About
Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown boasts the title of "best public golf course" in Delaware. The course has a links-style layout that is challenging but still player-friendly enough to appeal to beginners, seniors, and juniors. The layout is wide open and quite forgiving but there are still plenty of hazards with which to contend. There are more than 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Their thoughtful placement makes up the bulk of the layout's challenges. There are ponds that come into play on six holes as well as tall native grasses that appear along the fairways and greens. The wind is often a factor on the course too and will test your accuracy even further. Frog Hollow Golf Club's par 3s and par 5s are manageable but the par 4s will test even the best players.

Round played 3/18
Always enjoy playing the FROG. Was paired up with two very nice guys. Enjoy everyone I have met there . Course in nice shape for this time of year . Look forward to my next time out.
Course was in good condition, especially considering the time of year. Enjoyed my round very much!
Play-able
Course is in kinda rough shape, but then again, it’s not growing season yet so nothing is being replenished like it would be in the spring/summer. All par threes had us playing off a mat. Only reason I can think of is to preserve the tee boxes for when the weather changes. Greens were okay, some beat up more than others but nothing that would interfere with a putt. Wasn’t expecting much going into the round, it was basically as I expected it to be. Bar was open but didn’t have time to stop.
Always enjoy playing there.
Considering the time of year the course was in great condition. Greens rolled true. Really enjoyed the round.
Top Notch Course
Loved everything about this course from the friendliness of the pro sho and starter, the small but close range and putting green, the condition of tees, fairways and super fast super undulating greens.(If I had any complaint, it would be how many three putts I had) So many beautifully maintained bunkers in many odd shapes. Good company in the fine players I met there and the pace of play was perfect, never had to wait for any shot and no one behind us ever had to wait. All pretty talented players the day I played from what I saw. Nice 19th hole to boot. And the price is what attracted me to Frog Hollow on Golf Now which now that I’ve played there, I would say it’s underpriced from some of the subpar courses I’ve played in that price range. Actually it’s not ever close. Definitely be back!
Slow pace of play
Could not finish the round very slow. There were 2 teams waiting on every hole
Careens were aerated but were fast
Great deal!!
Played and reviewed Frog Hollow many times. Never seen the pond on the right of 13 th fairway so low that my partner played his tee shot from out there. Almost made it to the green!!no rain in the area in a long time why a lot of the water features are currently gone. The course is in above average shape for November. Greens recently aerated don’t affect putts too bad. Couple traps I got into were soft. The hot deal was an added bonus. Shot 95 ( I average 94 here) exactly 100 days after a quadruple heart bypass. I had a good day!!!
Nice course
Liked the course, just had to deal with the aerated greens..
november golf
greens were pegged but actually rolled well and were holding approach shots very well.
Due to time of year the bar/restaurant was not open. Pace of play was smooth 4:10
Layout is fine.
Love the coarse, just wish the greens were not aerated when I golfed there.
