Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown boasts the title of "best public golf course" in Delaware. The course has a links-style layout that is challenging but still player-friendly enough to appeal to beginners, seniors, and juniors. The layout is wide open and quite forgiving but there are still plenty of hazards with which to contend. There are more than 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Their thoughtful placement makes up the bulk of the layout's challenges. There are ponds that come into play on six holes as well as tall native grasses that appear along the fairways and greens. The wind is often a factor on the course too and will test your accuracy even further. Frog Hollow Golf Club's par 3s and par 5s are manageable but the par 4s will test even the best players.

Not bad
Only my second time ever playing at FH. Pretty good layout, conditions were decent (especially considering that we’ve had virtually no rain for at least a month). Starter is a good dude, seems to enjoy his job. Girls behind the bar were cool. All in all, definitely worth the $60 for an afternoon tee time on a Saturday.
Very pleased
Played there two days ago and I probably haven’t played here in well over two years and I was shocked only because some people have been leaving terrible reviews so I gambled on my own experience and those reviews on Frog hollow couldn’t be any more wrong and false this is without a doubt one of my favorite Delaware tracks love the layout and staff especially James in the pro shop. Most definitely will be back here next season.
Great day
Fresh cut greens. Nothing better than that on a Friday morning! Trees against the greens and fairways looked amazing, especially on 18! Will be back again next week!
Some ruff spots
Coursewas in very good shape. Some ruff spots in Fairways and around greens. They are working on them.
Greens were rolling true and are tuff. Women friendly.
To the 930 group…..
You guys took an hour to play 3 holes. I work night shift, your the reason I had to leave after 9 holes. Absolutely ridiculous. Course is punching greens in October so, get it in while you can. The group of old guys wouldn’t fix any of their ball marks and proceeded to putt out their double pars. Your the reason people don’t want to play anymore. I knew I should’ve purchased that tee time and cancelled it hours before hand. Pathetic. Starter is a great guy, club house rep was great too. The players make this place a crummy experience.
North Carolina -vs- Delaware
A Links type course, the fairways were pretty wide. However, shots had to be made on certain holes and your position on the hole. Greens were holding shots well and were putting true!
Poor Conditions - Especially for the $$$
I’ve played Frog Hollow many times and I cannot believe how poor the condition of the course is now. It was especially shocking considering the price we paid. In addition to the poor conditions and high price, the restaurant/bar were closed on a Saturday afternoon. It makes me sad to see the bunkers, greens, tee boxes, etc. in such bad shape - and for $65 a player it’s really bad. I will not be going back - at least not until I hear from others that it has truly turned a corner. What a shame.
Greens
All greens extremely undulating. Therefore challenging. Nice course. 4 hours for the round playing a foursome. Little slow for me. 5500 yards from the golds. So that was great for me. 200 yard drive is my best. Golf Now deal was $37. Great value
Wet day of Golf
Greens were very good, but soft from rain.
Bunkers NEED A lot of work.
Fairways, very soft.
Need to get better golf carts.
Always a Pleasure
One of my favorite courses to play. Just wish it were closer to Philly.Very challenging, undulating greens. Course was in good shape for this time of year. Bunkers and greens were well-maintained.
