Great Course
I was traveling south by car on a golf outing and was looking for a nice course to play along the way. Boy-oh-boy did I find a nice one! Located close to I-65, it fit my demographic requirement and I am so glad we chose this course. It was in great condition and the staff was great, I would recommend this course to anyone looking to play a nice course.
In the way home from Indy
My wife and I had been to Indianapolis and on the way home decided to play a round of golf. Found this place on Golf Now. We were definitely not disappointed. Golf course was in great shape. Greens were excellent. Fairways were great and roughs were just rough enough. Definitely recommend this course to someone. The only down fault was it was 90 plus degrees that day and there are very few trees for shade.
Top public course in the area
My Top 5 public golf courses in the Louisville area.
1. Chariot Run 2. Heritage Hill 3. Champions Pointe 4. Nevel Meade 5. Covered Bridge.
Champions Pointe is a residential track with many new homes being built around the course. When it first opened it was spectacular. Now it's just a landscape of houses. Too bad.
Fantastic
Great course and great people even brought complementary ice towels around because it was blistering!
Load of the corners, especially in holes 9 16 17 and 18 risk reward holes are great, everything was outstanding.
Great course and great staff
Three of us played here and throughly enjoyed the course, everything seemed great no complaints can’t wait to play it again.
Punched greens, no warning, no discount
I love Champions Point. However, there was no mention of the greens being pinched and loaded with sand, and no discount for the conditions. It was like putting in the rough, might as well have chipped instead of putt. Disappointing round, wish I would have stayed closer to home.
A Most Enjoyable First Experience
Before I even had the chance to open up my hatchback the cart man was delivering me a nice clean cart and was very friendly and helpful in directing me around the facility. It's still early in the golf year and a bit moist due to the rains in the past week but I thoroughly enjoyed the round even though it was a "cart path only" day. I'll be back as soon as possible to see the course in full swing!
A local Classic
Great greens/fairways/tee boxes…this time of the year, it’s worth the price of admission. Middle of the summer, maybe. Definitely some character to the layout…some wide open driving holes…some tighter ones…7/8/9 is a challenging way to wrap up the front 9 and number 16 & 18 will for sure be a test. Will come back soon.
great day at CP
Excellent experience at Championspointe. good feb. weather. excellent course conditions for the time of year. Off the Cart Paths.
The 18th is the worst…
…golf hole in Indiana. It’s a par 4 at 421 yards…from the GRAY tees…with force carry over water on the tee shot and 2nd shot. The second shot water carry is well over 100yds. It’s the most gimmicky unfair golf hole you will ever play. It is reason enough to.not play the course.
Oh, for perspective…the par 5 6th hole is 419 yards from the GRAY tees. That’s right…it’s shorter than the par 4 18th hole.
Lastly…if your anywhere near a 10 handicap…find somewhere else to play as this course was designed to destroy your game. IF you’re a scratch golfer…play this course as it will be easy for you. Why design a course this way is beyond me…but that is what they did. Good job Fuzz…
Nice as always!
I try to play this course at least once a year. Aerated greens this time around but outside of that the course is always in great shape! Staff is always friendly and come to your car to pick you up or leave you a cart. Nice touch!
