Dutchman’s Pipe Golf Club
About
Originally opened as the Eagle Course at President Country Club and Banyan Cay Resort & Golf, Dutchman’s Pipe Golf Club was renovated by Nicklaus design in 2017. The fairways are lined with coquina and pampas grass and there are also water hazards and sand bunkers coming into play throughout. The layout offers interesting par 3s that offer particularly nice scenery and a mix of par 4s that range from having ample room to being very tight and requiring more careful course management. The golf course opens with a risk-reward opportunity, a dogleg-right par 5 with a strategically placed lake.

Very Presidential
I've played this course a few times... the staff is friendly and the course in great condition. The greens a little slow for my tasted but roll true and well maintained
Drove around a slow group of young novice golfers... no ranger in sight and no cart service...
If you like chilidogs they serve a nasty one in the clubhouse.
recommend
If you can get this course for a fair price, it's something you should definitely play. The layout is excellent. The tee boxes are at good distances. Greens roll nice. Very generous off the tee.
great greens, challenging course
soon to be a new hotel resort the entire other course on this property is closed and to be demoed and converted the only thing to remain is the eagle course, so play it while you can!
Great experience
Pace of play somewhat slow
Greens very fast
One of the fewer courses where the back 9 is easier than the front
Different, fun and challenging
Different from the usual South Fl fare. Challenging layout. Lots of sand. Wide landing areas. A few creative holes. A good time.
Always challenging and beautiful course setting
One of my favourites, a little course maintenance ex aeration but expected at this time.
The course is in good shape. The staff and members are friendly.
The course was in good shape and a great value for a weekend round with friends
great for the price we paid
greens in fair shape, lots of bad grass, otherwise a goodcourse
Love this Course
We go to Florida every year for a week of golf. We played the Patriot's course last year and came back to play the Eagle this year. I would rate this one of our favorite places to play in Florida.
Condition of greens was terrible.
Bare spots and lack of grass made reading and holing puts virtually impossible.
Some staff seemed completely distracted. We had to bag and cover our own clubs after no one came over to assist. We carried them ourselves to the car and kept the tip in our pocket.
Good Bye Patriot
Unfortunately, President Country Club Patriot Course is closing April 30, 2013. It's an interesting layout, and if it had been maintained better, would be an superb course. New owners can't support operation of two courses, so Eagle will remain open, and Patriot developed as residential, hotel and shopping complex.
course is not being minimally maintained. nice lay out. greens were slow.
After being lured in by the great pictures and alluring ads, I was underwhelmed by what I saw. This course has a good layout. It can be both fair and challenging. It appears to have had its maintenance budget cut. The fairways are subpar, pathy ... The greens were slow and grainy. Just not up to par with better maintained courses in the area. I would have been disappointed if I had paid full price. This course has alot of potential. The staff was great. I met great fellow golfers and at the GolfNow price I paid, I had a fun practice round.
Great conditions.
From tee to green, the course was in great shape with a great layout! You won't be disappointed at the Eagle.
Eagle couse better than Patriot
While Eagle couse is in much better shape than Patriot, the experience at the course is less than friendly.
Course in bad shape and less than attentive staff
The Patriot couse is not worth your money. Eagle is good. Staff are less than attentive to greens paying customers. That's always a risk when private course go public when in need of cash.
Fun To play
Course in great shape. Putting speed factor in some green due to aerification earlier (guess 2-3 weeks ago) however no big complaint about course condition. Got good hot deal from golfnow so we all pretty much enjoy playing.
Greens Need work, Staff Argumentative
Wanted to get in an early round before the Masters and choose The Presidential Patriot Course since it was close and had times avail that fit schedule. When I checked in I was informed that there was a Beverage Cart on the Course, which we saw one time on the 3rd hole and not againthe entire round. The turn is away from the clubhouse and we were a twosome in front of 3 foursomes, so we didn't want to chance getting behind them again by heading to clubhouse since we were expecting to see the cart soon. We did see it again on the 16th in that distance and attempt to yell for her, but she picked up a guy with a backpack and headed towards clubhouse instead of towards us...
The worse was when I went into the Pro Shop to just give them a heads up, I was greated with a "Sorry, not much we can really do about that" basically they acted like I was out of line for complaining they didn't fulfill their end of the the deal for what I paid for. The gentlemen who claimed to be in charge was argumentative and never once seemed to care about asking me if there was anything he could do to make it up to me, or even like he cared...finally a patron in the clubhouse offered me a beer, and the guy behind the counter seemed angry about that...
Simple, "Sorry sir, can we do anything to improve your experience at our course going forward" would have gone a long long way and left me with a better impression that "You can't hold us all responsible for one persons actions"
Do your self a favor, spend the money elsewhere, these folks do not deserve your money, the greens were in bad shape, and some fo the fairways are under repair. There are many many other courses in Palm Beach County that will treat you SOOOO MUCH BETTER, for less.
Beautiful and well kept!
We never had to wait. The course was beautifully maintained with lots of water and sand. Some of the fairways were quite narrow making it challenging.
