With November upon us, just about everywhere in the continental United States is prone to a cold snap or deluge capable of shutting down the course, but even in the Midwest, golfers are still managing a few rounds in their hometowns.
We looked at your reviews in October - over 15,000 total - to find out which U.S. courses and destinations are faring the best right now. Not surprisingly, Florida destinations are earning high marks, but the country's midsection is still pretty bankable for great golf weather conditions and weather this time of year. Out west, desert destinations generally have sub-optimal conditions in October because of fall overseeding, but that didn't stop several courses from faring very well.
We also see that many of the courses earning high marks right now are pretty good values, especially in places like Alabama and Tennessee. Some of these courses and destinations have partnered with Golf Advisor to offer exclusive stay-and-play package deals, and we've provided them where applicable.
Be sure to tell us and your fellow golfers which courses are doing great (and not so great) in a review! You can join the community right here.

Fall is a great time of year to be somewhere--anywhere!--in the South, or parts of the West. I recall going on business/golf trips there in the 80's/90's and always enjoying the far milder weather than that in the Northeast.
I've been to several of these desirable areas, and have played the Champions Club at Summerfield, Saddlebrook, and a course on the RTJ Trail. They're all very solid choices for either relaxing or serious golf. Fine recommendations for can't-miss locales!
