Dutchman’s Pipe Golf Club
About
Originally opened as the Eagle Course at President Country Club and Banyan Cay Resort & Golf, Dutchman’s Pipe Golf Club was renovated by Nicklaus design in 2017. The fairways are lined with coquina and pampas grass and there are also water hazards and sand bunkers coming into play throughout. The layout offers interesting par 3s that offer particularly nice scenery and a mix of par 4s that range from having ample room to being very tight and requiring more careful course management. The golf course opens with a risk-reward opportunity, a dogleg-right par 5 with a strategically placed lake.

Pleasure to play with excellent greens.
The course layout provided some tight fairways, water hazards and fairway bunkers within striking distance. While this called for some accuracy off the tee it was not unfair for golfers of any level. Longer hitters would have no difficulty. Several greens were well guarded with front bunkers but the sand was very playable. The greens were in exceptional shape and very fast. The ball rolled true and several long putts were made during the round by all players in our group. First time visitors, pay close attention to the GPS screen for hazards and yardage as you should anywhere. The Island green can be deceiving if your approach is longer than you desired. I would definitely recommend this course and will look forward to playing it again when I return to the West Palm Beach area.
Godd course, great value thru Golfnow
Tee boxes a bit chewed up, but you can find a decent spot to use. Some of the blue tees were on a down slope, i've never seen that before. Good mix of sand, water, and fairways. A lot of traps placed at driving distance. Played in less that 3 hours, but lucky on that!
What a great course and exceptional Par 3's
I have been by this course many time when I use to travel to West Palm Beach but never got a chance to play this course until yesterday. I have nothing but good things to say about the course and staff. If your every in WPB this is a must play.
Henderson, NV
good old course
good greens good carts speed of play nice locker room good pro SCOTT
Challenging course (wind, water)
We have played in 4 hours. It's a beautiful golf course
greens need some work but probably sure to lack of reason in area
Overall the course was in fairly decent shape. Was not busy. Played in twosome, no one ahead holding us upand never saw a group behind us. Got great deal so was well worth the money.
We enjoyed playing this course.
We look forward to playing it again next year on our vacation. It fit our style of golf.
Course has been left to fall apart.
If i didn't get a discounted rate from Golf Now, I would have been been extremely disappointed. As a result, i am just disappointed. The cart we were in had a bent frame. The course since the last time I played has been re- designed. The tee boxes obviously were originally designed for a different layout, as well as the cart paths. If we weren't directed to turn around prior to getting to the green, we found a huge greenside bunker that we had to walk around...on almost every hole. On at least two holes there were two white 150 yard markers, 40 yards apart. The fairways look like the sprinklers were turned off since last season. The greens were very spotted and i noticed my ball bouncing on its way to the hole.
This would be a very good value at $15 during the off season, Not $69 in season.
Fair set up.
Not a long course but still challenging for most.
Water only comes into to play on a few holes.
Greens in good conditions and speed was very fast.
Bunkers in excellent shape.
Speed of play was good on a Saturday midday.
Would play it again if the greenfee rate is good.
Eagle course highly recommended.
Eagle Course is quite challenging, narrow with very interesting greens. Very good condition. Excellent design, rolling fairways though on flat land. Great price through golfnow. Highly recommended!
Great course and Staff
If you are looking for a great course, not too hard, and a staff that is always friendly look no further.
The value is very good for the condition of this great course. If you want a harder challenge try the Eagle sister course.
nice course very good greens staff frindly
played with 3 guys from Erie Pa . had a great time. played the patriot course. very good condition, nice greens
Tough course on a windy day
My only disappointment was that they started us on the back nine (a much tougher nine than the front). Moreover, a fast group who started on the front nine was on our butts within minutes of starting our first hole. The Golfnow reservation did not warn me that this was going to happen.
I played the Eagle course on a sunny but WINDY day. The greens were in great shape: healthy, fast, and firm. The course was equally in great shape. Though the tee boxes at the "tips", where I played, were a bit shaggy. The back nine is much harder than the front nine because on the back nine if you miss the fairway the ball is likely gone.
A cart girl was available as needed for drinks. I had never played the course before so I was unprepared by a few things:
1) The pace of play on your cart is set for a 4-hour round. On a course you've never played before in 20-30 mph winds, it's tough to play at that pace. (Painfully we finished at 4 hours 5 minutes.)
2) They started us on the back nine.
3) The bathrooms require a passcode that flashes on the cart's GPS screen as you pass the bathroom. If you miss the code, there is no way to bring it up again on the screen.
4) Because I was the only person on the back tees, I always hit first. When I play a new course I like to look at the hole and decide if it is a driver, 3-wood or iron shot is appropriate from the layout presented on the GPS screen. We were fighting to maintain the 4-hour pace and I couldn't load the layout of the next hole on the GPS until I reached the teebox. Worse a car commercial came up before the layout was presented slowing me even more.
5) At the turn, there isn't a fast snack bar to get a sandwich or hot dog that can accommodate the pace of play they want you to maintain.
Fun tough course that I only need to play once. But I am glad I played it.
The course is in great condition and very challenging.
One of the nicest course I have played in FL. Friendly and helpful personnel. This course is 180 degrees harder then their Patriot course.
Great Place
Very nice facility. Great day on the golf course .
Solid track, but needs some work
Played The Eagle course this past Friday. The course is pretty solid overall, but nothing outstanding. Most tee shots require some thought and care and there is plenty of sand and water. Fairways moved the ball pretty well throughout. The greens were a bit spotty and inconsistent but got better on the back 9.
The staff were friendly enough but overall, the place felt a little run down. Not a bad place to play if you can get a deal under $50-$55, but there are other options in the area.
Very Nice and very good course.
Interesting design by R.T.Jones Jr. Good variety of holes .
Par 3 and 5 holes are original . Beautiful greens.Ondulating fairways. We will return for sure. And for 37$ (Golfnow.com) it has been a gréât bargain.
Nice and challenging and fair. Like anywhere else you need to play it once and know some of the hidden pitfalls
Fairways a little thin but overall in good shape. Greens in great shape and semi fast
Not worth the fee.
We didn't play the golf course that was featured. We should have been told that when it was booked. I would have gone else were. It wasn't worth the money.
Greens in great shape, very challenging with LOTS of water. Lost a ton of golf balls, would reccomend it to players in tune with their game!!
Staff very dismissive and unfriendly, but course and amenities were nice. Price was a little much given the area of so many courses and what you got, but the course was very nice. Greens and green areas were fun to play on, very nice and well done. Course boasts a ton of water, wish I played better bc I lost a lot of balls!!! Could be a little cheaper and staff could be nicer, otherwise a good place to play. If you are ready for a challenge and can hit it straight then definitely go play it!!!
