Cypresswood Golf & Country Club

Every Green on the course has turned brown I asked an employee why they turned brown and he said he didn't know what happened something had to happen for all the greens to completely turn brown not in spots the whole green! Play with that in mind I like this course but they need to figure out their green keeping!!!!!

First time playing the course. Course was wet but playable. Layout seems ok but the pace of play was the slowest I have ever encountered. Had to wait at least 5-6 minutes for every single shot. Totally ruined the round, and left after 9 holes, couldn’t bear to play the back 9.

Pro shop. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The course was in much better shape than the last time. I played it about a year ago. It was wet and the ball didn’t roll out very much.

Literally and figuratively. Need a kidney transplant after the potholed cart path. I guess the fact that the course yardage is extreme is supposed to make more challenging. It just made me try to get distances that aren’t in my game. Wet. Sloppy. Dead spots all over fairways. Horrible conditions.

I keep coming back to this golf course because I have seen lots of improvement to the field of play in recent months. Some places are still a little wet, but overall is a very good and very playable course. The staff is always awesome and helpful.

The cost for 18 holes very reasonable for this course

After playing a late afternoon round of nine holes we were looking forward to a drink in the clubhouse. We seated ourselves at a table that hadn’t been cleaned yet (the remaining tables were for large groups) and waited for someone to come over to us. The bartender could clearly see we were waiting to be served but chose to ignore us. There were 3 other servers walking in and out, not serving anyone, and they too chose to ignore us. After 10 minutes we got up and left. We’ll still play golf there but will never go into the clubhouse. Very disappointing.

Played course a few weeks ago and decided to return, improvement seems to have stalled. Looking forward to replay maybe February, see if there is any improvement. Greens better.

I played Cypress wood for the first time.

The layout of the course is pretty straightforward and not to difficult for duffers like myself. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but I did feel a little rushed to the teebox. I had arrived about a half-hour early to roll a couple putts before my tee time and as soon as I got to the practice green the ranger rolled up and sent me out....I literally didnt get to putt at all. That aside, I did have an enjoyable afternoon as I was paired with a very nice older couple. Going through the course, there was horrible incosistency of condition from hole to hole. As I finished, I was approached by the ranger who, knowing it was my first time asked how I liked the course. After expressing my dissapointment at the conditions, he told me they were in the process if making major refurbishments to the course. So I told him that I'd take that into account, and give the course another try in 6 months or so....

Course is in very good condition, some over watered areas, but very manageable.

I keep coming back to this course. It is perfect for my level of play. In recent months I have seen an improvement in the condition of the course, which could be better if players would stay away from soft areas as well as tee boxes and greens. The staff is always friendly and ready to assist. Overall, this is a great place to spend some time doing what we like most.!
