Very disappointing
We have played this course in the past and enjoyed it but now, it seems to be going downhill quite fast. Tee boxes horrible. Greens burning out. Fairways have grass only where it has not disappeared. Looks like maintenance is all but forgotten. We will not be back. Sorry 'bout that. The ladies on the counter were the best thing about the course. Perhaps you should consider closing the course and building houses.
Beautiful setting
Constantly repairing this course and it still needs a lot of work. This is a beautiful setting for a golf course and could be very nice with a lot of professional work. As long as the prices stay low we’ll keep going. If it every gets the professional work needed, I’d be happy to pay more to go there. Overall a very beautiful environment to get out and play golf.

Beginner friendy course
I continue to come back to this course because I find it very good for a beginner golfer such as myself, and the price is more than reasonable.
Most improved
The course has improved since the last time I played it. Keep up the good work.
Course conditions
Every time I play there, they stay there working on improving the course conditions. It is dirt and dry grass everywhere on the greens. They’re there about every six months. It Has not improved in the last three years.
Poor grass condition
Greens with extensive dead areas, repair sod, fairways with thin grass and dead areas, T box similar horrible grass condition. But for practice finished in 3 hours, didn’t lose any balls and the price is a deal.
Good course for beginners
I've played at Cypresswood several times and continue coming back because the course is very forgiving to a beginner.
A great first impression
A friend and I booked a T-time to play Cypresswood for the first time. The weather was stellar, the staff was friendly, and the course was meticulously maintained. The ground was wet after a passing hurricane and a full day of rain that resulted from the West and East coast seabreezes colliding over Polk County - but even with that issue I was very pleased with my day on the course. I'll be back. A wonderful day.
Long & Challenging
Good value especially when the greens grow back in. It's a long and challenging course for mid to high handicaps.
