Course conditions
Every time I play there, they stay there working on improving the course conditions. It is dirt and dry grass everywhere on the greens. They’re there about every six months. It Has not improved in the last three years.
Poor grass condition
Greens with extensive dead areas, repair sod, fairways with thin grass and dead areas, T box similar horrible grass condition. But for practice finished in 3 hours, didn’t lose any balls and the price is a deal.
Good course for beginners
I've played at Cypresswood several times and continue coming back because the course is very forgiving to a beginner.
A great first impression
A friend and I booked a T-time to play Cypresswood for the first time. The weather was stellar, the staff was friendly, and the course was meticulously maintained. The ground was wet after a passing hurricane and a full day of rain that resulted from the West and East coast seabreezes colliding over Polk County - but even with that issue I was very pleased with my day on the course. I'll be back. A wonderful day.
Long & Challenging
Good value especially when the greens grow back in. It's a long and challenging course for mid to high handicaps.
Cypresswood
Fairways and tee boxes need work. Some greens are in bad shape.
Only one thibg missing
As we played the course, we noticed the number of homes with swimming pools as well as the community pool. However, there was a noticeable lack of young, bikini clad women of the opposite gender using those facilities. Also, the beverage cart girls were also absent. You should do something about this. Thank you
Love Cypresswood
We always have fun on this long and challenging course. Once we get air conditioned golf carts it'll be perfect. Tom in the clubhouse is always friendly.
Great course and friendly staff
First time playing at Cypresswood and will definitely play here again. The course is clearly marked and easy to navigate. I was able to play alone which for me is a big plus, I am new to the game and would not lie to slow people down on my account. Overall Cypresswood is an awesome course and a great place to spend part of the day.
Getting Better
Over the last few months the course conditions have improved greatly. 17 of the greens were in very good condition and the one remaining green is being worked on. The weeds in the fairway and rough are being addressed. If they keep it up it and keep the price down it will be become one of the most played courses in the area
Kissimmee bay
Great course : greeter Kyle was awesome . Course was in great condition and pace was awesome , will be back next week !
Pace of play was awful and never saw a course ranger for the 2-hour, 45-minute 9 holes I played. Gave up and went home.
Doesn't anybody pair up anymore?
Bought what showed as a hot deal tee time for one on Sunday morning figuring that meant there were 3 other players. Got there...a single had just gone out, and the two that were waiting told me to go ahead. So, worst case, I figured I would catch up to the other single and we would play as a two since I was told there was a two in front of the single. On the second hole, I pulled up to the tee box after the single had hit. He looked at me, put another tee in the ground, hit a second shot and then drove off. I pulled up on the next couple of holes and still no acknowledgement. Since there was no where to go, it didn't make sense to ask him to let me play through...so I played the rest of the nine behind him (he didn't hit two balls very many times) until a brief rain shower on the eighth drove most folks off the course (it lasted from the time I hit my third into the green until I finished putting). I passed the single, but ended up behind the two he had been behind. They were keeping up with the group in front of them, so, again...no reason to ask to play through. I did finish in right at four hours so...not bad for Father's day morning. I would have expected the course to group us up, since there had to be some foursomes somewhere. It felt like I was waiting a lot, but I think it was just the nature of playing as a single.
Please fix greens and tee boxes
Used to be awesome, greens were horrible shape and tees weren’t much better
