Cypresswood Golf & Country Club

Easy to find, security at gate was very nice. Short drive into a nice gated community. Club house is clean and organized. Bar/restaurant area is nice with plenty of seating and a large shaded patio with tv's.

Staff was friendly. Carts were in great condition and ran well. Course was in good shape with the exception of some patch work on some of the greens. Course layout is great! Alot of nice par 4's and 5's without a ton of tricky hazards. Surrounded by a beautiful farm with livestock.

Place was very busy in the morning, but later in the afternoon we had the place to ourselves. Attitude of the locals on the course could use some work, but overall enjoyed it, and will play here again.

Courses in Good condition greens need a little bit of attention but all in all great course for the price

I got a lot of bites because of fire ants nets though the fairways. Needs to cut the grass, balls get buried. We lost a lot of balls.

I have played cypresswoods several times. When you have to spend most of your time looking for your ball 3 to 5 feet off the fairway. Than not find it it doesn’t make for a good day. The rough is 3 to at times 6 inches long. They don’t cut the rough. If you do find it you can’t hit out if it. Very flustering. Doesn’t make for a good day. For new greens they are bad in spots also. . Very disappointed with the course on how it is being taken care of. They want people to play it than maintain it.

Many greens had bad areas. The fairways had many very spotty areas with no grass. The rough was very overgrown and we spent quite a bit of time searching for balls that missed the fairway; to their credit they were in the process of mowing. Pace was great because we didn’t see that many other golfers. I did like the layout and with care this could be a very good course.

As a local player, I want this course to succeed. The greens are nice, above average in a lot of ways, and the sand traps are well kept, but that’s really where the maintenance stops. As a true amateur golfer, I can par one hole, then double or triple the next, which comes with penalties; lost balls. Any shot off the fairway is in hay. It’s nearly impossible to locate some balls and keep pace. Cypresswood, please get the grass in order. I know it’s been wet in some areas, but what about the rest of the track? Also, Hand a weed eater to the two knuckle heads riding around picking up sticks and have them knock the weeds down that grow through the tee boxes, heck maybe put one of them on a mower! I didn’t really want to write a review, but I’ve told your staff this several times. I love playing the course, the layout is great, the clubhouse is gorgeous, the pub is awesome. I’m willing to help because I’m tired of paying more for golf balls than I do for greens fees… #WillWork4GreensFees

Kudos to Bob and his staff. They are getting this course really shaped up, especially the greens. It rained a lot the night before and the course was wet and was cart path and rough only, but nothing like it used to be after heavy rain.

Have to keep ball in fairway rough is very high. Greens need work and tee boxes also. Sand traps are in great shape.

The course was a little wet so they asked me to drive in the rough, no problem there, but the rough was a little bit long to find a ball if you got off the fairway. The greens are in good shape. The bar and grill is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
