Moutain Meadows
This is a challenging course, fun but challenging! There are a lot of blind tee shots, hidden greens, and with the normal doglegs it is sometimes hard to see the pin on the green you are trying to hit. It is a very scenic course that covers lots of hills and valleys. The greens were in good condition just hard to hit. On the day we played there was a lot of groups of 2 on course, and some groups of 6 so it was really slow and backed up on quite a few tee boxes.
this course has a great features and challenge designs but was ruined by poor management and miss used by girl high school coaching staff.
played on 10/21/13 Monday 12:45 tee time and right behind the last group of a high school team. Took more than 3 hours to reach hole No. 9. No course manager to control the path and speed. The high school coach will not allow any groups behind the school teams to pass, even their is a two to three holes gape opened. The worse things is the girls team walking for entire 18 holes instead of 9 holes. The even worse thing is the school coach acted like he owns the course and shouting loudly as no one pass my girls. what is a bad example that coach teach to the young fresh starting golfers. If I were the parents of the team then I will pull my children off the team right away. will not recommend other players to this course until course management improved greatly.
Early Golf Round
We used glow balls for the first 4 holes and flew through the front 9. The back 9 was a log jam and slow going. The whole point of me going out at 6AM is to fly through the round. Golf Channel always talks about pace of play for the golfer...they need to concentrate on the golf courses booking walkers on the back 9...
great experience
I had a tee time of 5:58 this time of the year its still dark so the course provided glowballs never used them before. It was actually fun the only thing is your hitting blind they need glow sticks on the flag as well as the yardage markers to kinda line out the direction of play but all in all it was different and fun allowing me my early tee time year around.
Course in great shape..oher than the overwatering
The course was in great shape except they over watered and there were spongy tee boxes and a few muddy spots with cart tracks that were not fun to stand in. Other than that for the $25 green fee including cart, it was an exceptional deal.
Worst memory in my golf experience
We were behind 4some group and they have delayed the whole game too much through the whole game.
We had to wait in front of the green over 5 minutes while some of them even practice after putting...
They seemed to play for money but never kept decent manner for other players behind.
Will never go to Mountain Meadows to avoid this kind of junk people.
Terrible managed course. 5 golfers to a group and to make matters worse they allow them to walk the course
Outrageous behavior and a blatant effort To make more money with no consideration of the golfers. DO NOT GO THERE. Thought that they may have had a bad day so gave it a second try. Worse the second time. Avoid at all costs.
Course was nice, Starter was beyond rude
Played here on Thursday 8/1 in the morning with my brother and father. The course looked to be in good condition and was not too crowded. We booked a 7:15am tee time through Golf Now and arrived at 6:45am to check in. My father tried to use his LA County Senior Card and the starter told us no. Apparently the back of the card contains info that says you must book a tee time before 7am to use the card. No worries, we told him he just got the card and we were unaware. When we asked if he could still let us use it since our time was only fifteen minutes after 7am or if he could get us out now because we checked in early, his demeanor changed and he became rude and was short with us. When I asked him why he was responding that way to what I thought was a reasonable request, he lost it. He became extremely rude and disrespectful, raised his voice, and became argumentative. When we gave him our cards to pay for the round he started slamming down the receipts and pens on the counter for us to sign. It was one of the worst guest service interactions I have ever had in my life. I am a store manager for a big box retailer and would never condone one of my employees speaking and/or treating a guest in that manner.
As far as the course goes, it was nice. Fairways were cut and greens were in decent condition. Maybe a little slow. Most of the holes are straight with a couple of them having a dogleg. Par threes were longer and a bit challenging if you miss your tee shot. Lots of slope in the fairways so you are usually looking at a slightly uphill or downhill lie. More so if your drive takes you left or right off the tee. The pace was good and we finished right at four hours which is faster than some courses who let fivesomes play.
Fun course, but always slow.
Enjoyable course, well maintained, good variety of challenges. But, when playing on a weekend, expect your round to take at least 5 hours. We waited on every single tee box for the group in front of us to clear out, and the group in front of us was waiting for the group in front of them.
But, if you're not in a hurry, this is still a fun course to play.
I will come back to play this course again.
I got there on time, staff was very friendly, nice course. I would love to play there more often but unfortunately my finances would not allow for this. As it is, I was treated to this game. I was totally and completely blessed to play on your course.
longest day in golf
The course in general is fun to play, but it is not worth a 6 1/2 hour round. This course is more interested in getting paid, than keeping a nice pace of play for their patrons. They have no problems allowing groups of 5, and it makes for a super LONG, LONG day. Very frustrating waiting 10-15 minutes to hit your next shot on every hole. Folks don't know their limit, so allowing groups of 5 and watching them play from the blue tees, when they should really be playing from junior or the most white, was just frustrating and sad. At one point, we had the group on green putting, we laid up, so we were about 60-70 yds from green, the group behind us on the fairway, and 2 groups waiting on the tee box. ridiculous. !!! and this wasn't morning golf, it was noon tee time.
excellent value
Course is well maintained and staff are very accomodating. It plays long for the average golfer and requires well placed tee shots. Whites recommended for average golfers. It has quite a few elevated greens and there are some challenging par 3 holes and several blind tee shots. This course gets lots of play and is best played early morning or late afternoon. It is a very good value for the price. It has good fast food and practice facilities.
Good use of mountains
This course is fun to play. It has some holes that have elevated tees/greens and some that are flat. It's a decent challenge. There's not too much ob either so if you're a little wild it's fine.
Over all course is in fair to good condition.
I like the course layout, over all course in fair condition.
Nice course, way too slow
Nice course, challenging with hills, greens in good shape.
Slow play, group two groups ahead was 2 holes behind and course had no one out to speed them along. Talked to clubhouse and they "don't have" anyone out on the course in the afternoons to monitor playing times. Very frustrating, will probably not play here again due to that one factor.
Slowwww
Very slow play, cart was out before the second hole, 2nd card was dead by the 13th other than that nice course
Nice course with nice views of mountains.
Nice course with nice views of mountains but too slow -- took more than 5 1/2 hours to finish.
Too slow
It's fully packed in the afternoon. Almost 3 teams on each hole. No marshall sighted to direct the traffic. This is the 3rd time I played at 12:22pm and it was simply got us all waiting at each hole for our turns. Too slow.
The course condition is fine, it's just the traffic is too much to speed up to normal rate of time spent.
A well maintained course (LA county Dept of Park and Recreation does a great job), but very poor course management.
I witness a high school boy wearing jean and t shirt and holding a golf bag above his head walking alone the fairway.
I witness a high school coach shouting at the golfers in front of his school team girl golfers.
My tee time was 12:45, but the starter would not allow us to play until 1:30. When we finished 9th holes, it was 4:30 pm,.
