Great golf course
First off, staff was very friendly! The course was in great shape. Fairways were groomed nicely and the greens were outstanding! I would definately come back and play this course and recommend to all my friends.
Overall good course
Played on a Thursday, so pace was no problem. Course is in good condition. It's a tough one to walk, so I ride if it's hot out.
5.5 hour round on Sunday....ouch
Nice course, hardly any OB, no homes, decent conditions. Lots of elevation changes, dog legs, and good mix of challenging/fair holes. The pace of play was painful at over 5 hours...
Fivsomes!!!
Decent Course for a muni, some holes are very challenging, have always like the layout.
But, Too many fivesomes!!!! On the weekend too!!
LA County trying to maximizing dollars
Good value
Good value for under $50 course. Green is challenge. Staff is nice.
just thankful to be playing this
this is one is we could be proud and blessed to be able to play this course ! iim juz trying to say be supportive to our local homecourses w/c we really do have excellent golf courses to be in our proximity .(like to mention like Rancho Park, the 2 griffith courses Harding N Wilson or i could drive like 20 to 25 mns N could b playing like El Dorado maybe d skylinks @ LB city ) but honestly this courses are in good playin conditions that im locally plugging!
Good tee shot terrible lie
Even in the middle of the fairway there are no good lies on this course. Fun course I've played it for years now but the medows keep getting steeper!
Extremely slow pace on a mid day morning run
Had a couple of out of own friends coming to visit, so I took them to MM to have some fun. It turned out to be a huge disappointment. Our tee time was booked at 10:20 am on a Thursday morning. I was hoping to have a 4.5 hrs run, and budgeted 5.5 hrs.
We checked in 30 minutes before our tee time, and were sent out 50 minutes later, 20 minutes behind our reserved time. From there, things were getting worse hole by hole. Every hole you have to wait 5 to 10 minutes to tee off. At #4 hole, we counted three grps waiting at the tee, and one group on the fairway, and one group on the green.
I found out this is a patent of American Golf managed courses: very tight spacing between groups and allowing five some's. This will translate to very slow pace. We ended up finishing the run in 6 hrs.
About the course condition: The tee boxes and fairways are at MM's typical condition which is OK and on par with most of the muni courses in the area. However, the greens are very bumpy. They let grass grow a bit to long and unevenly cut, so some greens are slow and some are fast. It is tough to judge the speed.
It was a bad experience playing here. Although I like the layout of the course, I won't be back if the pace of play is not improving.
you need care management
Gorgeous course that we like .
You need attention when you playing at course here cause narrow fairways and slopes.
But this kind of course is always fun to play.
Staffs very kind and pretty good lay outs all around.
Greens are too soft as like sponge so need press down for firm green then it will be perfect course.
Good golf course.

What Happened
One of my favorite courses and its really bad right now. Greens are underseige from a fungus and putting is a trip through a mine field. Had a early tee time and no one showed to open pro shop????
Very Rude Starter, Let His Friends Just Start When Ever They Wanted To
My T-time was for 9:16, I arrive3d there by 8:30 and tried to check in. Starter told me to come back in 20 minutes to pay. Go down to 1st Tee and 4 groups in front. Group ahead was 2 holes behind (Orientals and thought they owned the course) by 12th hole and wouldn't let anyone play through. Never saw a Marshall the whole day. Would give up the game before ever going back there again.
DON'T BOTHER...............
The starter was extremely RUDE and seemed irritated that we even showed up. We had to wait
35 minutes after our scheduled tee time to even get a cart. Once we got to the first tee we had to wait an additional half hour for 3 groups to tee off. Our group will not play at this course again and I would definitely not recommend this course to any one who doesn't have 6 hours to play a round of golf.
Over booked
this was my second time playing this course. Our tee time was 10:52...I checked in at 10am. The proshop said come back in 15 min. prior to tee time to pay. (they would not take payment at 10am) I proceeded to pay for our golf at 10:30. Headed to the first tee at 10:35 and found 6 groups waiting to tee off. We teed of at 11:43. We finished our round at 5 pm. This is the same experiance I had the first time playing. I WILL NEVER RETURN.
Moutain Meadows
This is a challenging course, fun but challenging! There are a lot of blind tee shots, hidden greens, and with the normal doglegs it is sometimes hard to see the pin on the green you are trying to hit. It is a very scenic course that covers lots of hills and valleys. The greens were in good condition just hard to hit. On the day we played there was a lot of groups of 2 on course, and some groups of 6 so it was really slow and backed up on quite a few tee boxes.
this course has a great features and challenge designs but was ruined by poor management and miss used by girl high school coaching staff.
played on 10/21/13 Monday 12:45 tee time and right behind the last group of a high school team. Took more than 3 hours to reach hole No. 9. No course manager to control the path and speed. The high school coach will not allow any groups behind the school teams to pass, even their is a two to three holes gape opened. The worse things is the girls team walking for entire 18 holes instead of 9 holes. The even worse thing is the school coach acted like he owns the course and shouting loudly as no one pass my girls. what is a bad example that coach teach to the young fresh starting golfers. If I were the parents of the team then I will pull my children off the team right away. will not recommend other players to this course until course management improved greatly.
Early Golf Round
We used glow balls for the first 4 holes and flew through the front 9. The back 9 was a log jam and slow going. The whole point of me going out at 6AM is to fly through the round. Golf Channel always talks about pace of play for the golfer...they need to concentrate on the golf courses booking walkers on the back 9...
great experience
I had a tee time of 5:58 this time of the year its still dark so the course provided glowballs never used them before. It was actually fun the only thing is your hitting blind they need glow sticks on the flag as well as the yardage markers to kinda line out the direction of play but all in all it was different and fun allowing me my early tee time year around.
Course in great shape..oher than the overwatering
The course was in great shape except they over watered and there were spongy tee boxes and a few muddy spots with cart tracks that were not fun to stand in. Other than that for the $25 green fee including cart, it was an exceptional deal.
Worst memory in my golf experience
We were behind 4some group and they have delayed the whole game too much through the whole game.
We had to wait in front of the green over 5 minutes while some of them even practice after putting...
They seemed to play for money but never kept decent manner for other players behind.
Will never go to Mountain Meadows to avoid this kind of junk people.
