Marshall Canyon Golf Club

My best game ever so I guess im bias but we had a blast. Can on hole 1 at 7am and finished 18 in about 4.5 hours w three guys. Deer everywhere made it unique also.

After 40 years of playing golf in SoCal, I finally tried Marshal Canyon. The course is a fun layout, but a typical municipal course with many holes paralleling each other and the resulting dodging of balls from all directions. I was not a fan of the groundskeepers. We had to wait for a lawnmower on at least 4 different holes, and they don't stop running their machines, whether you are teeing off, putting for birdie, or shooting from the fairway. I understand they need to finish their work, but it's a shame they aren't taught to yield to the guests. Also, the water bucket on the first tee was neglected, with about 1/8 of a bucket of dirty water for my towel. This isn't a big deal, but it is a pet peeve, as that's my 2nd duty after opening the gates at my course.

I'll be back again, but hopefully on a day they aren't mowing.

Sand traps with New sand, even better.

Management and ambassador’s very professional. I would absolutely recommend playing this track.

Some of the hardest greens ANYWHERE!

Marshall Canyon is a fun course. Lot of trees, deer, and good sloppy greens. The pins seemed to be place mostly in the front or the back. The greens were fast, but not unplayable. The greens have a lot of slope and would be difficult if they were cut any lower. The course was well watered, which helped slow the speed of the greens a bit. The ball really sat up nicely in the fairway. You couldn't ask for cleaner lies. The rough was moderate, it helped keep the ball from rolling into hazards. It was hot, but there was always a tree to park your cart under. Had to give ourself a free drop on number one because our ball finished next to a deer resting in the shade.

Perfect 6 o'clock tee time, not rushed, and finished in just over 4 hours. Great day.

Marshall Canyon is always a great golf experience. Marshal keeps on people to keep apce of play even on congested Sunday golf days. Well maintained course and worth a visit

The Marshall here really sucks I’ve played there twice and he’s rude and I just see him harassing people all day the pace of play is good for the weekend but he gets on a power trip everytime. I took my wife and daughter there for the first time and they are beginners but not totally lost they know how to keep the pace and he kept harassing us he wanted us to keep up with the group in front of us but they were doing a scramble. Besides that it’s a great course the scenery is awesome the Marshall is the only bad point and I’ve heard that from multiple people on different visits

The course was in decent condition, though not top quality, which is understandable considering the green fee was only $55, including a cart.

The pace of play, however, was terrible. We did not see a marshal until the 14th hole. When I asked about the slow play, he explained that there was a tournament on the course. I also pointed out that the trash bin at the 11th hole was overflowing, and I hope it was taken care of afterward.

There was some confusion with our pairings. I had canceled three spots and lost $30 in non-refundable reservation fees. Fortunately, the staff allowed one player to join another group so that my friend and I could play together.

Would I recommend Marshall Canyon? At this time, no. The course has potential, but improvements are needed, particularly with pace of play, overall course conditions, and the quality of the bunkers.

Course great only 1 issues the starter made me ride with another person even after paying full price for a cart never have encountered that situation before

Always enjoy playing this course . Many challenges and scenery.
