Upland Hills Country Club

We have a foursome we play together all the time. Last couple of it’s very hot, we book through golf now we have a 10:52 tee time no one I front of, no tee times behind were there 10/15 minutes early but we can’t start till 10:52 🤷. WHY NOT !!!!

The Upland country club is about 40miles away from my home. It was first time to play in this course . Most of fairway grasses was good condition , pace of play was a little delayed due to the holiday golf.

I recommend this golf course to the average

golfer.

The overloading and pace of play is ridiculous. At 5hours and 20 minutes we left after the 15th hole. Marshall does not deal with slow play groups.

I understand it’s warm …. But at $100 with cart not worthy for the money…. Bunkers were wet full of water and compacted…. You still had occasional. Dry patches which is understandable…. But there was growth so thick you would easily lose your ball in the middle of the fairway…. Besides that I would play it again, but not at that price point……. still has a good layout, a beverage cart and a pretty decent clubhouse restaurant

The staff at this course absolutely hate hot deals. Because of that, they treat them terribly. For example, the group with a tee time before us were late. They could have allowed us to tee off in their spot, but they made our hot deal tee time wait for them. That group arrived at our designated tee time and so we were forced to tee off late. The starter was rude!

Grass in rough area is very tall. If you hit your ball to either left or right, you'll have a tough time finding it.

I’d say worth $70 or less . Play twilight or weekdays

We booked an 11:52 Hot Deal, arrived early, and the course was WIDE open. Instead of letting us go, they made us sit around and wait behind a foursome that was already late for their tee time. We were told that if we wanted to go out early, we’d have to cancel our reservation and rebook/pay more. Apparently squeezing out a few extra dollars is more important than pace of play or common sense.

I’ve played top-rated public courses throughout California and Arizona, including plenty through Hot Deals, and I’ve never experienced something this ridiculous. Pace of play here has been terrible every time I’ve played, the conditions are consistently disappointing, there’s no driving range, and the “blue tees” barely stretch to around 5,500 yards.

Upland Hills carries itself like some premium country club while delivering, in my opinion, one of the worst golf values I’ve experienced in Southern California. Calling this a country club is laughable. At these prices, there are far better places to spend your money.

Played at 12:30 on Sunday afternoon. I live in Upland, but I haven't played here in a year because the price has been a bit ridiculous on the weekends. The fact that the price was less when I booked the tee time on golfnow should've been a red flag, but I took the bait.

I'm not sure why this course has gone downhill, but I was really disappointed. First of all, the staff was friendly, and we did start on time which was great. As for the course, I knew we were in for a "rough" round after my first shot. I was just off the fairway and was lucky to find my ball in the 10 inches of uncut mess. All the mowers here must be broken down, because every hole was the same. The fairways were like light rough and the rough was a jungle. Some places over a foot deep. We lost at least 5 balls not more than 5 feet off the fairways. There is no excuse for this at all. Most all the bunkers were in horrible shape with very little sand and hard as nails. There were a few that were not that bad as well. The tee boxes were ok but not great either. The greens were the best part of the course but were very slow. I've been playing faster greens lately, and it was really tough to get the ball to the hole.

All in all, the POP was good even with everyone complaining about losing balls in the jungle. If you found the fairway, it was much more fun. I won't be back here until the super in charge of the course starts doing a better job. If you decide to play here before that, don't use your premium golf balls unless you can stripe it down the narrow fairways.

Well, that's my review of Upland Hills. I paid $55 and it wasn't worth $30 right now IMO.

I get that it's been hot and you don't want the course to die, but not cutting regularly causes more harm than good for everyone.

Tree lined holes with water here and there. Fairways were decent with some marked under repair areas for free drops. Not tall but sticky rough is troublesome if you miss fairway. Since I decommissioned my driver and used 4i from the tee, score improved. Fun course to play.

Absolutely loved the course. My wife and I had a tee time this morning for the back 9 and enjoyed ourselves. Pace of play was great, was not rushed and enjoyed every hole. Definitely coming back
