Upland Hills Country Club

Not the best place for beginners. The course is situated between multiple buildings. Great staff which is linked with a beautiful club house. Got paired with some professionals who were very helpful along the way. Absolutely the best greens that I have seen during this seeding season.

Had a great round at Upland Hills. Enjoyed the course and would happily play here again.

This is my home course. It’s the best bang for your buck. Unfortunately tee times are not very punctual. Too many players go out around the same time. Causes a backup throughout the whole round. Marshall’s drive around but doesn’t seem like they push the slower groups.

San traps were dirt and grass. Greens were slow, bumped and varied from hold a hole.

I played here about a year ago and it was reasonably priced. For whatever reason it shot up to expensive probably to keep all the duffers out. This particular day it was crowded. They should have had a marshall drive around to speed up play. Instead you had people screwing around taking their time and each hole being backed up more and more. I could have went somewhere else and saved money and the pace of play might have been faster. Also for reason the cart shut off. I wasn't near the green. I flipped the switch and it didn't work. I called the pro shop and nobody answered. I had a couple of kids help me move it towards the cart path. After I flipped the switch under the seat did it come on. The whole time the cart would slow down , then go fast then go slow. They need to check this out. I don't think I will go back unless I get a really good deal or somebody pays

I had prepaid for a round for one player cart included. Upon arrival, I informed that deal times do not include single player cart rental but the ad DID NOT SPECIFY that would be the case..I was joined up with a group of three to make a foursome. The player immediately following us was single player with a cart...all alone. I asked him how he got to get a single cart and if his tee time was a deal and he informed me "negative, buddy..."...What gives? I have been a regular player here for over 14 years and have played atleast 3 times per month. I feel i was wrongly taken advantage of and will NEVER golf here again...I will also tell all my golf buddies that this 'NEW" practice of not giving one a cart that has been PREPAID for will probably continue...I'M DONE with this place...even if it is only a mile from my residence...

There bent on pairing 4 sones with hot deals when the course is empty and flow would be better with 2 somes. the sand traps are horrible, I broke a club on one.

Over the last year or two. The staff at Upland Hills have taken great pride in the course. They have kept the grass in good condition and green for the most part with a few areas that are under construction. The greens are incredibly taken care of. I golf here 95% of my time and really enjoy the staff at both the golf course and restaurant, 1906.

Greens were punched and still very sandy, most bunkers were in poor condition, the secondary rough was in need of a mowing. There wasn’t any warning on GolfNow about the greens.🇺🇸

Upland Hills is generally a good course for the value, however, when we played on Friday, the greens were heavily sanded, the bunkers were nothing but dirt and rock and potholes everywhere.

Again, if you just want to go out and play around the golf and not pay a lot of money this is a place to go.

I’ve played Upland Hills Country Club well over 100 times over the years, and unfortunately, the overall experience has continued to decline. The biggest issue is the customer service and the lack of consistency between what the course promotes and what it actually offers.

One of the most frustrating examples is the nine-hole rate. Upland Hills promotes making golf more accessible and advertises family-friendly nine-hole rates, yet the nine-hole tee times are essentially limited to a handful of early-morning slots, around 7:00–7:30 AM. There are still no nine-hole rates posted for the afternoon on their website. If the goal is truly to make golf more accessible, why aren’t those rates available throughout the day?

The course conditions also leave a lot to be desired. The rough is routinely grown far too long, making it difficult to find balls and unnecessarily slowing down pace of play. The bunkers frequently have very little sand and often hold water, making many of them difficult to play as intended.

Pace of play is another ongoing issue. With the rough being so long and groups frequently taking a long time to complete rounds, you would expect to see a marshal actively managing the course and helping keep play moving. In my experience, that is rarely the case.

What makes all of this more frustrating is the attitude from some of the staff. I’ve experienced staff members who were rude, unaccommodating, and unwilling to work with customers on reasonable requests. When you’re paying to play golf, basic customer service should not be too much to expect.

I’ve given Upland Hills a lot of chances because I’ve played here more than 100 times. Unfortunately, based on my experiences, there are better options in the area if you’re looking for a good overall golf experience and reasonable customer service.

Hopefully management takes some of this feedback seriously because the course has the potential to provide a much better experience than what many golfers are currently getting.

Greens and fairways were in good condition, however if you hit into the rough it was difficult to find your ball. We couldn't find a couple balls hit into it even though we knew where to look. At least this time playing the course we didn't get stuck with a jerk the fill out the group. Found out why the round was under $50 when we got there, aeration in progress, wish courses would post prior to booking
