Poor Pace of Play, Inconsistent Maintenance
Pace of Play: 5-5.5 Hours
-Two-somes would skip around to empty holes that caused back up.
-Ambassador drives around first 4 holes, does not address the back 9 or even maintain pace
-Pace of Play gets scuffed because half the time people are walking. It causes back ups on Par 3s and Par 5s.
Course Condition:
-Rough on Front 9 is so long that if you do not hit the fairway, your ball is lost
-Rough on Back 9 is cut better
Fun course. Nice layout. High elevation changes. Great views.
Rough is rough at The Meadows
Fairways and Greens are excellent, but the roughs are rooooouuuuugh. Still had a great game despite losing a few balls in the rough rough(not out of bounds). Always enjoy the rolling hills.
It depends on your expectations
It's always been challenging and it's always t s been four condition. The hype of how improved it is must have been compared to the way it was after the winter rain. It's still the same as before. They really do have to do something with the tee boxes. Just horrible condition.
It's still the best value around. Can't take that away.
They really need to get rid of that tree in the middle of the fairway on #10. A nice tee shot is penalized because you have to go under the tree with a low shot with less carry.. I'm sure it's a hallmark of the course but really annoying.
Fun little golf course!
It is a not-too-difficult course. I like the undulations of the course and the greens were in good condition. The fairways were a little beat up in some areas but nothing too bad. I always enjoy playing here with my son as the holes are not too long for him, and he is able to get some pars.
Lush fairways
The course is in overall good condition. They are sodding some of the fairways and tee boxes m- which was badly needed.
The fairways are really lush with few bald spots. The greens are receptive, but the break is less than expected.
One area that needs to be improved- is the course Marshals. They will not tell groups that are lagging to catch back up. We finally had to pass a group- who had gotten 3 holes behind the group in front of them. This stacked up everything behind us. Once we passed that slow group- we played at a very nice pace.
Why are these courses today so afraid to enforce slow play groups- which affects everyone ???
Not worth playing here
Played here multiple times and it’s a fun course that has good amount of forgiveness and challenge to the layout.
Our 4th player had an emergency and could not make it and the course still charged my card which is fine cause I booked for 4 so not an issue.
Pace of play is horrible, 6 1/2 hour round and we had to skip 2 holes because the groups in front of us would take 3 shots off the tee and than spend a lot of time driving around looking for the OB balls they hit.
Not asking for fast pace or wide open 3 hour round, just asking for a marshal to be out there and make sure everyone gets to enjoy the round and have fun as that’s what we all came to do but letting groups of 4 hit 3 balls of the tee and taking 15 more shots just to get on the green every hole is a bit much.
One of favorite localnmountain course
Small range, close chipping and putting ground next to the range. Pace of play is around 4.5 hrs in the am. Overall well maintained for its price and back 9 has the great scenic view.
