Streetsville Glen Golf Club

About
Streetsville Glen Golf Club first opened in 1967, but major renovation in 2001 have updated this golf course, making it more player friendly while still keeping the challenges of the original layout in tact. With only 10 holes when first opening, eight newly designed, thought-provoking holes were added. The golf course is somewhat short but the wind that comes into play on the back nine makes it seem like it plays much longer. There are also well placed bunkers and water hazards coming into play throughout. Streetsville Glen Golf Club's signature hole is the long par-5 sixth, where an out-of-bounds down the entire left side and a pond on the right require shots to not only be long, but also straight.

Course should not be available via GolfNow
It was a cold and windy day but sunny and a good way to be out on the course getting that first round in. However, the course was wet, actually water logged and only available for play on 11 holes although the price was for 18 holes. Of the 11 holes the course deemed playable, only 8 were actually playable but still soggy and wet fairways. I feel GolfNow should refund half of the total fees paid - paid for 18 but only 8 playable. Was not a fun experience. I do not recommend this course until it dries out completed - hole # 12 in completely under water.
Could no golf due to weather
Weather too bad to go out at our tee time. Rain and high winds so we did not go out
Two Courses in One
Overall, this is a very good course for an intermediate golfer or a single who wants to work on their game.
It is in good shape for a no-frills, accessable and reasonably priced course.
The first nine holes are quite forgiving if you are not a straight hitter. The back nine, however, are quite hilly and challenging and tended to swallow up golf balls that strayed.
Also, for those that walk the course, the back nine are a bit of a challenge, especially for seniors.
Few people were on the course the day we played so it was a very pleasant, although tiring, day.
life of this course is limited , to be developed for housing
cost of cart rental would have been more expensive than round of golf , but at least it's fairly easy to walk .
Trashy course that's not worth the cheap price
This course has really gone downhill in the last ten years. The conditions are brutal - everything is out of repair, the holes are virtually on top of one another, and it's only a par-62.
Even at a very cheap price, this course is trash. I won't go back. I'd rather play Peel Village - a beautiful 9-hole - than suffer through another 18 here.
Great course for price
My friend loves playing here. It's a well maintained course for the price. Staff are usually quiet friendly and Marshall is always friendly as well. First holes are open, hard to lose you ball but easy to place it on another hole's fairway. Second part of course feels very hilly. I always end up wishing I got a cart to ride. This course offers a balance of challenging holes and easy/fun holes. Great for any level of golfer! Would recommend playing here if you have not
Thanks!
small course
The maintenance is excellent the main observation is its not challenging as such it is ideal for higher handicappers who want to improve their game and seniors especially those above 70
Fair comments! Thanks
Good course. A little wet because of all the rain, but had a lot of fun working on those irons.
Thanks, yes it has been a challenge to get out and cut the grass being so wet. Glad you enjoyed the iron play!
Great short course with affordable rates.
Love this course, it's great to get you back into the season without breaking the bank if you book through GolfNow. The course is still wet right now but it doesn't really bother me. Overall it's a nice little course. Friendly staff too!
easy to walk and good for beginners
course was very wet but greens were in good shape.
Thanks! It has been an extremely wet Spring!
WET, WET, WET
Booked a tee time through GolfNow and arrived on time. Found out that we can only the front nine holes X 2 as the rest of the course is under water. The front nine were wet and soggy and muddy! After the 2nd hole, both our shoes were soaked. Not enjoyable at all.
We will have to be more proactive when mother nature interferes with our golf course. Thanks for the feedback.
It has changed multiple times over the years due to development. It is slated to be a 12 hole course for next year. We will create something more playable with a couple par 5's.
