Whitetail Golf Club
About
Whitetail Golf Club enjoys a landscape of rolling hills covered with mature trees, creeks, and ponds. Originally opened as a short nine-hole course, the layout was transformed into an 18-hole championship design in 2004. The update added a level of challenge to an already playable golf course. The first five holes are new, as are the last four. The layout has tree-lined fairways that demand accuracy and there are two tricky carries over water on the opening hole and the 17th. Both of these are par 3s that feature significant greenside bunkering that will test the iron play of even the most seasoned golfers. Whitetail Golf Club's sixth and 14th are two par 4s from the original nine that are particularly memorable since they play much longer than the indicated yardage.

Great features
This is the best course in the Ottawa valley. The course is in great shape.
Always a Treat
The only criticism is that the kitchen was not open until 8:00am. Not good for tee - offs earlier!
Wow
Great course
Played in a big wind which added to the experience
Good risk /reward on! Most holes
Upper Ottawa Invitational
Had Whitetail booked for Saturday but saw the Monday pricing and had to switch my rounds around.
42 dollars for 18 with a cart can’t be beat anywhere
Derek has the course in great condition and no signs of drought anywhere.
We played Renfrew and Cobden as well but you can’t beat the value at Whitetail.
Great Experience
Course is excellent, staff very accommodating. Very enjoyable experience.
Best course in the Ottawa Valley. Greens are fast and true. Staff very friendly and food good.
Wide Fairways Fast Greens
Tucked away in the Ottawa Valley this championship course deserves all accolades. Tee to Green all holes give you every chance to score well. If you miss a fairway you still have lots of rough to hit. If you go beyond the rough take a lesson from Derek. Owner and CPGA golf pro. If you score well here, don’t tell John the greens keeper as he’ll tuck the pins in spots no one likes. Just kidding. Score here and you’ll score well anywhere. Swing easy and bring your swing to Whitetail in the valley.
Course was in excellent condition greens were fast and true. Pace of play was good, played 18 holes in just under 4 hrs. Staff very easy to deal with and helpful.
Hidden gem in the Ottawa valley.
I love Whitetail. First and foremost no housing on the fairways. While on the course all you see is nature. Every hole is different and a challenge to all levels of golfer. The pro is the owner and is there to ensure that your golf experience is a positive one. Course conditions are always top notch and it is very rare to get held up by other golfers. Whitetail is a long drive from Ottawa but it is my go to course while at my cottage in Calabogie. I highly recommend it. Once you play there you will want to go back.
The more I play the course, the better I like it!
Staff are great to deal with - friendly, efficient and professional. They make you fell "like a member". Course is in excellent condition. A Great Day!
As always not disapointed
Course is in good condition, some wet spots expected for this time of the year.
Worthwhile the drive.
A Gem
Lovely rolling layout. Tough but still fair even to a novice like myself. Greens were excellent. No winter kill and only a couple signs of ants near the fringe. Bunkers had some small stones but I expect that out of any Canadian shield course. Staff were friendly and helpful. The practice area is quite nice as well. A range, two putting greens and a sand area. All in all well worth the trip.
