Whitetail Golf Club
About
Whitetail Golf Club enjoys a landscape of rolling hills covered with mature trees, creeks, and ponds. Originally opened as a short nine-hole course, the layout was transformed into an 18-hole championship design in 2004. The update added a level of challenge to an already playable golf course. The first five holes are new, as are the last four. The layout has tree-lined fairways that demand accuracy and there are two tricky carries over water on the opening hole and the 17th. Both of these are par 3s that feature significant greenside bunkering that will test the iron play of even the most seasoned golfers. Whitetail Golf Club's sixth and 14th are two par 4s from the original nine that are particularly memorable since they play much longer than the indicated yardage.

Lovely course
Great course! I was a single playing pretty quickly, everyone I came up on was very polite and aloud me to play through. Everything was in wonderful shape.
The only thing I would say though is that you really do need a cart to play this course. The walk from green to the next tee box is pretty far on some of the holes. It's also pretty steep in a few spots.
All and all I think it's a great course in the heart of gods country.
Nice course worth playing
Whitetail is a nice course with a lot of nice views.
The course has beautiful holes and the greens are in good shape.
The only downside is that I have been there twice and they always have to mention that I booked through Golfnow , meaning they will pair us up( We were 2). That comment is a bit annoying when you see several other 2 some on the course. It is the only place I have played that makes that snotty remark. It just leaves a bad taste when you start.
Great value
Great scenery, challenging variety of holes especially from the blues, consistent greens, a very nice round. Despite the wet conditions I really enjoyed Whitetail and recommend it to all my friends as a track you have to play .
Nice course
Overall, nice and challenging course, friendly staff, fair price. Only two small negatives - lot of poison ivy and bush left pretty wild, and it a tough course to walk (at least on a warm/hot day).
We (3) booked through GolfNow and got a very good price. Several heavy showers after 10 holes and we got a bit soaked even though it cleared after 10 min. But the club still gave us a 9-hole raincheck after 2 pm which was very decent of them.
This is a great course for all players
WILL DEFINATELY PLAY HERE AGAIN NOT A WALKABLE COURSE
Beaut
Loved the course, very nice lay out of the course, has some very long fairways, can be challenging if you don't hit straight. At every hole, it explains how to hit your tee shot and the approach to the green, and listen to what they tell you!!! Coming back soon
Nice Layout - worth the drive
Very nice layout. Course was is great condition. I would put this course on par with Renfrew golf course.
Beautiful Scenary
This is by far one of my favorite courses in the area.
It is a 1/2 hr. drive for me, but, well worth it.. I have walked the course in previous years, but, I recommend taking a cart on hot days as the hills become very challenging.. The vistas are breathaking, especially in the fall..The staff are very friendly & accommodating - makes for an enjoyable day.
Nice Course
Fun little course with some challenging holes. lots of nice elevation and course layout.
fairways
Weeds in the fairways and turf not in great condition. Played this course 2 years ago and would have given it 5 stars. Looks like they're not spending the money on fertilizer and week killers. Too bad, it's a really good layout.Ottaw
whitetail golf course review
tons of poison ivy in the trees made it difficult to find stray balls. they also swiped my credit card for possible damages to the power cart. I guess they bought all brand new power carts this year and are worried about players damaging the carts. I found this policy kind of strange. they should check the carts before and after you play instead of getting authorization on a credit card.
Worth a Round or Two
A challenging course in great shape at an exceptional price.
Country Gem
My husband and I live in Ottawa and happily make the commute to Whitetail a few times each summer. This picturesque, well maintained course offers unique challenges on virtually every hole. Unlike a links course, this country gem offers holes individually carved from the surrounding woods. You will be challenged by a variety of hazards as well as undulating fairways and are likely to need every club in the bag. This is a great value for money course.
Fast Fast Soft Greens
Great gem in the Ottawa Valley. If you want Fast Fast greens that are Really soft this the course!
Over 5hrs
Course almost seems late recovering from a nasty winter. Some fairways are quite sparse. Have played this course when conditions were much better. This had to be an exception but our round took over 5hrs just two of us an no marshall in site.
Beautiful course, waited a lot
The course was well kept and beautiful. It took is over 5 hours to play. Waited almost 1.5 hours in total between holes.
well worth the drive
Excellent day and the course was in good condition still some winter kill on the second green but other wise great.
very good combination of Par 3 and longer pars.
Enjoyed playing yesterday. That's all I have to say at this point.
White Tail Challenging
Course was in great shape. All holes have either elevated tee or elevated green. Walking not recommended as some long distances between holes and terrain is very hilly. Very good mix of holes. Strongly recommend playing here.
