Riverview is in excellent condition all round. Staff is always great. One our favourite courses. Challenging but playable. Always a pleasure to play

After a slow front nine, I was approached by the pro shop attendant who informed me of a forthcoming storm and offered me a rain check for 9 holes including a cart for any time this season. I took the offer and shortly after hitting the road for home, indeed, there was a heavy downpour. If I had chosen to play on, it would have been as a single since my playing partners chose to stop because of the approaching storm and the slow pace of play.

Riverview's front nine"s fairways and greens are in terrific shape.. Unfortunately, there is only one bunker on the front 9. As the pro shop attendant said and I know from playing 18 holes at the course in the past, the back 9 is much more interesting than the front.

Course is in good shape. Tale of two nines like the other reviews. My only beef is we had to follow a fivesome (from the first tee). No problem providing they can keep pace. However, they had fallen a hole behind by the third tee and not a Marshall in sight to keep them on pace.

Bit chilly course in good shape for early in the year

The two nines at Riverview are divided by Victoria Rd (hwy. 24) which couldn't be more appropriate since they are so dissimilar.

The front nine is a beast with 3 par 5s, 2 400yd. 4s (from whites) and a 200 yd . par 3. It is relatively wide open and flat. The back, however, is much shorter but since it is well treed and has numerous sloping fairways it is as challenging as the front. In fact, the two "gems", the par 3 uphill #11 and the split fairway par 4 # 12 are on the back.

The greens and the fairways are in immaculate condition for this time of year. Unfortunately, many of the bunkers were filled with water because of the overnight rain and those that were dry were very hard.

This would be my only complaint.

The course has numerous water hazards especially on the front and #s 17 and 18 run along the Welland Canal which makes the two holes especially scenic.

Riverview is definitely one of the best courses I have played this season. My partner who was new to the course can't wait to get back.

Since there are four sets of tees, Riverview can accommodate golfers of all handicap levels.

Course played easier on front nine. Back nine much more challenging and enjoyable. Conditions were excellent and staff polite. Pace of play was appropriate for the number of groups on the course. Overall, good value for money and the course, particularly the greens, were in good shape.

We played this course few times a year and always had a great time. The golf course is in excellent condition. Especially those greens are the best that I've played in this year. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to come back to this wonderful golf course.

Well manicured and in great shape. A good value for those wanting to play a descent course without paying expensive green fees.

I have played here a number of times in the past but have not been near course in over a year. The price to play here provides great value. The family that run the course have done an extraordinary job taking care of it and their enthusiasm and demeanor to customers make you look forward in returning to play again.
