Meadowbrook Park Golf Course
About
Meadowbrook is an old 9-hole executive track that some claim dates back to the 1920s. The par 33 layout plays to 2,045 yards from only one set of tees. The best hole is No. 3, which plays 151 yards into a scenic green surrounded by giant pecan trees.
Getting there : From Hwy. 360 south find Abram and turn right (west). When you come to Willis, turn left, then look for the course on the left side of the road.

Good course to get exercise!
Course greens are bumpy and slow but grass just coming in so will improve I'm sure! Great place to get some exercise and practice. Will definitely return!
Course is good for beginners
Course was wide open with no sand traps. Good place to work on short game. Tee boxes where in great shape along with some of the greens
Great staff and fun to play
Even on 9 hole golf course, you still have to make shots. This course has the smallest greens and very hard to kept shots on greens. I think the groundskeeper is a sadist for putting flag location in unreal spots.
Nice and close
Close course for is however staff is not that nice. Also could use some real work on their greens.
Great course for the price.
Great little course. Good value and convenient when you want to get in a quick round.
Wonderful for an old course
Ever since the course drilled a well for watering; the greens and fairways have been lush even in July.
Nice look little track. Walked 9 and great warm-up for another 18 with breakfast in-between!
Greens rye & fescue so they're slow & bite. Don't need a driver on any hole even from tips. Only issue was construction if coming east via GPS. Best to target Cowboys stadium & reset from there. I'll play as early warm-up with breakfast then 18 when convenient..
Awesome experience
Had no idea this course was even here! But got out with some buddies and for the money, you couldn't beat it.
Don't take your good clubs
If you hit outside the fairway, as I do, you won't want your good clubs. The ground is very rocky with a lot of exposed tree roots. They now have a game where a ball is kicked into a large hole. These folks are playing in front and behind you and their hole and flag are in your line of play. Very frustrating. I would not spend my money out there again.
Excellent value
This was my first time playing this course and I was pleasantly surprised. Our party consisted of myself, a seasoned golfer, and my two daughters, both beginners. The course presented a nice challenge for us all but was not so difficult that it frustrated my novices to badly. The greens could use a little extra care to get them up to par but they where certainly playable. Staff was very friendly and helpful and certainly earned our future business. This is not Augusta but I'm pretty sure it will cost you a little more than $10 per person to play on a Saturday afternoon there. We had a great time and at the end of the day this is what you want for a beginning golfer to experience.
Great course to work on skills
I'm getting back into the "swing" of things after a 2-year hiatus. Having a course like this is great for people like me. I'd certainly bring my kid here to teach her the sport.
Incredible Improvements
I have played there for over 30 years. I had moved a few years ago out of state. I came back to play and the greens were the best I have seen them in 30 years! I was impressed. They built a pond so water is more accessible during the hot months. Basically unlimited water supply from a spring underneath the ground. Pond is very nice and a great visual improvement to the course. Actually comes into play if you go over the green on 9 now. Greens are very thick Bermuda. They are slow but extremely healthy. You will be impressed if you had played here before 2014 compared to now. If you want to play a quick 9 or 18 for one low price and you are a higher handicap player, then I think you will really enjoy walking through the course. Hint....play the hills into the green. Bump and run is the best play.
Surprised
Usually the course is in pretty poor shape but I must admit the greens were lush and slow and the fairways were in good shape. If you'd rather play a round than hit a bucket of balls at the range this is a fun substitute.
Good for walking and iron practice
Course is in pretty bad condition and likely not worth more that $10 for 18 much less 9. It is good for short game practive (but not putting)
9 hole.
Small 9 hole course that is part of a small public park. It looks like they fenced in part of said park and cut a golf course on it. It was worth the $5 I payed but will probably never play it again. Staff was very friendly. The tee boxes where in the best shape of the whole course, and probably better then some of the nicer courses I've played. If you live within a few mins drive of this course and just want to walk a little course for the same price as a driving range it's an ok time.
Great Course for the money
Had a Great time golfing, weather was excellent and green conditions were very nice. Great place to walk the course especially for the money.
Okay Course with... SOCCER GOLF?
I chose to play this course because we were paying a decent price, plus it was close to the Texas Rangers Ballpark. We show up to tee off and find out that the golf course is also a "Soccer Golf" course, and there were little kids running everywhere around us.
We waited behind a group of 8 people playing this game, running around everywhere and hollering like heathens. The holes for the soccer balls were in the fairway of the ACTUAL golf course... Unbelievable.
Other than that huge mishap, the course was alright. The greens were very beaten up and inconsistent, but they were challenging. Watch out for the trees because they are everywhere.
