Meadowbrook Park Golf Course
About
Meadowbrook is an old 9-hole executive track that some claim dates back to the 1920s. The par 33 layout plays to 2,045 yards from only one set of tees. The best hole is No. 3, which plays 151 yards into a scenic green surrounded by giant pecan trees.
Getting there : From Hwy. 360 south find Abram and turn right (west). When you come to Willis, turn left, then look for the course on the left side of the road.

Greens are the challenge
Meadowbrook Golf Club is an inexpensive golf course, and for that reason you encounter players of all experience levels, often those who have little to no golf skills. As a result you can get stacked up fairly often.
The layout of the course is easy, with #1 being the most difficult because of the dogleg, and the narrow, tree-lined approach.
The things that makes this course a bit challenging are the small, sloped, undulating greens with sparse, patchy grass. You cannot rely on a true roll or consistent green speeds.
Clubs that come into play for me are: Driver/3-wood/5-wood, 6, 7, 8 irons, PW, SW and putter.
This a great place to get your in order! Work things out.
I have played this course for many years and it keeps providing my game the stuff I need to work on and work out of my game. Its a great place to get things worked out. Keep up the good work guys.
Thanks,
Will DeShone
Great beginner course, fun to play
Played on a Saturday afternoon, course was busy but not over crowded. Had to wait about 15 minutes for a motorized cart to become available, but not a big deal. Used the delay to practice on the putting green right near the clubhouse.
Course layout is very basic, but does help with your club selection and shot making. Course was in great shape and staff was very friendly. Best of all, no water hazards or sand bunkers!!
Would play here again for sure.
played here alot over the years and it looks better than i have ever seen it.
Early mid afternoon light breeze sunny and nobody on the course for several holes. First time playing for bout 8 months, I like the openess of the course forgiven if your goes array like alot of mine did. With the addition of carts makes the speed of play go smoother.I think this is perfect place to tune up your game if its been a awhile since you played last. And back to mother nature wonderful with all the squirels meandering everywhere, not afraid of you at all, some will even take a pecan from you. Just the i thing i needed relaxed and none rushed play loved it
Been Playing Here For Years
One of my favorite municipal golf courses in the area. A little tough but forgiving. Just keep it in play and you'll have a good day! I started playing there back in the 80's and still enjoy a round there every now and then. They even have riding carts now for us old fogies!
very short, worn out course.
Fairways were poor no grass. Greens were very hairy and slow.
Good value
The course was in good shape. Probably the best I've seen it in several years. It is always a value and has several interesting holes.
great practice course
great price great deal great location to play your practice round in. be prepare to spend a long day there, cause always many peoples walking...
Wouldn't go back..
Overall I wouldn't go back. If you don't play golf it would be an ok starter course.
Friendly, helpful staff
The course itself, tee areas and fairways were in good to great condition, but some of the greens (3 and 9) were awful grass patches bumpy...terrible. Considering it is a city owned course more attention should be given. These conditions won't keep me from playing this course though because it's close and the price is reasonable.
Always fun and relaxed. Winter course was tough, greens and approaches were trampled and grass was shorter that 1/2 inch. Greens played like glass.

1. Short dogleg right - use your 7 irin and be in line for a 100 yard wedge to a domed green.
2. Longer dogleg right - use your 5 wood and be set for an easy pitch to a slighly domed green.
3. Basic par 3 about 145 from blue tees. Another tough domed green.
4. Another par three, plays a little longer than number 3.
5. Fun par 4. straight up, grip it and rip it. To another - wait for it - domed green!
6. A short, straight par 4, that in the old days was an impossible par 3. If you get on in one, you are having a special day!
7. A 6 iron will get you on this par 3's green, but the dome might make it roll off in winter-time.
8. Nice straight par 4 a long the right-side fence. My partner has driven the green, so it's kinda short.
9. Par 4 is almost a mirror image of number 8.
All in all, I'd play this course any day any time. It's the best value in DFW for a fun and relaxing day of golf.
Fine for beginners and kids, not much else.
First, it should be pointed out that this course is "Meadowbrook Park" of Arlington and not "Meadowbrook" of Fort Worth. That's a little confusing so buyer beware.
Also, the listing on golf now is not clear that this is a 9 hole course only, that you just play twice for 18.
With all of that said, the course is in decent shape and is fine for a quick 9. It's probably great for kids and beginners. The holes are very short though, nothing over 300 yards. Holes are really too close together though and there is a lot of risk of hitting other golfers on the next tee box with an errant shot. Staff was friendly though and the deal was cheap.
Great beginners course
This par 66 nine hole walking course is easy and challenging at the same time. Great for beginners and better players working on honing their short games. No water or bunkers make for fast play. Course is always well maintained.
