About
Forest Golf & Country Hotel offers a total of 27 holes of golf, one 18-hole course and a nine-hole course. The courses are laid across the gently rolling hills of Southwest Ontario. The location is conveniently close to Kitchener and Toronto as well as the beaches and parks of Lake Huron. The longer golf course is known for its tricky island green. Both courses share a landscape of dense forests and tranquil lakes, which is known to harbor all different types of wildlife.

Getting better as time goes on
Earlier in the year greens were in poor shape. They have improved 100percent. Though not a long course it has a lot of tricky holes that you need to play with your head in the game. Would recommend for all except for very low handicap players.
going down hill
My wife and I USE TO PLAY THIS WONDERFUL GOLF COURSE QUITE A BIT 10 OR SO YEARS AGO AND LOVED IT. BUT THIS TIME OUT THE TEE BOXES WERE IN DISREPAIR,THE FAIRWAYS WERE THE SAME AS THE ROUGH,LOST BALLS IN THE FAIRWAYS, GREENS WERE JUST O.K.PRICE IS WAY OVERPRICED ,WITH THE GOLF COUPON @C18 I STILL WAS DISAPPOINTED.
Fun course
The course is a great and has a number of fun challenges. However, the layout is not designed for anyone who would like to stop part way for a small lunch or break. Other than this minor irritation,enjoyed it very much! We will definitely return.
Golfing in Forest!
Really enjoyed the round! My husband and I played, he being an avid golfer, me just getting into golfing, and we both felt it was competitive enough for him, and not too difficult for me.
We did feel the grass needed to be cut though , at the tee blocks. Overall had a great round!
Lots of new things
Had played before and I have seen lots of changes to the course and staff. Enjoyed my round and will play the course again
Excellent day for golf
Sunday May 29th was a beautiful day for golf. My group of 3 got out on time. The pace was a bit slow as there were probably about 5-7 groups that went out within a 30-45 minute time frame. Not having any par 5's tends to plug things up a bit but overall it was still an enjoyable experience. The course is in generally good shape, a couple of the greens were rough but somewhat expected with the heat/sun we had over the past week. Our one complaint is we never saw the beverage cart on the front 9 but 3 times on the back 9. On a 30 degree day, with an 11 o'clock tee time, that was a missed opportunity for more sales and tips for the worker driving the cart.

Forest golf & Country Hotel
Golf course is short in length, all par threes & fours however the holes are interesting. Some of the holes are doglegs, some up and down ans there is lots of water around. I played on a sunny fall day, the trees were brilliant colours of red, orange, the ponds were full of geese, ducks and even a couple of swans. Not only did we enjoy our round of golf the scenery was picturesque.
Late season
The course was in very good condition for being late season. We were pressed for time so we got a cart. It's a very good course to walk. Not too long and very scenic. Over all very good.

Never disappointing
Our foresees favorite course in our area. We play it often.
Would not suggest that you using the dinning room after your round. Food is good but getting your meal after ordering is a very long wait. If you are not pressed for time go for it.
Nice par four course
I haven't played there in quite a few years. We were very pleased with the condition of the course and will definitely return. Hopefully this season
GREAT FOR HUSBAND AND WIFE
GOOD PLACE TO ENJOY WITH YOUR LADY. NOT TOO LONG OR STRENUOUS. YET SOME INTERESTING HOLES FOR THE GENTS.
Expensive
Sorry but $5.75 for a can of beer is excessive. Not returning.

this cours is one of my favorite ! Golf there for the last 20 years! The cours is in very good shape!

Overall it was alright
It was OK ,my round was my average, my buddy pared the course and thought it was great.
Fun course
The course is in great condition. So much fun to play here. There are no par 5s but many challenging holes. Loved the island green! Played 18 in less than 3 hours. Very relaxing to see the greenery and mature trees! Definitely going back!
Beverage cart
Everything at the golf course is good, only issue is there was no beverage cart. It was a very hot day, and beverages would have been appreciated.
Old Classic rural golf course
We played Forest on Father's Day. Excellent weather and fabulous golf course conditions. Very scenic and a wide variety of holes, although there are no par 5's. Greens were challenging but fair, the fairways well manicured. In general excellent value for the beginner intermediate golfer. We'll be back.

I'm not sure what course you played but I've played here a fair bit this year and the changes between when the course opened this year and now have been phenomenal! The course has shaped up nicely with lots of repairs to the bridges, the tees and the greens.
