About
This is a 36-hole city-owned operation that features one of Austin's best muni tracks, the Roy Kizer Golf Course, which complements the 1970s Jimmy Clay layout.
Austin's old water treatment facility was transformed by Randy Russell, who had more than 80 acres of lakes and marshland at his disposal when he laid out the 200-acre site. Russell's links-style design is flat, burdened by the wind, and loaded with bunkers. The toughest par is No. 11, which rolls 468 yards into the wind and is shamefully listed as a par 4. Take your bogey on No. 11.

Great public track
Not like anything else I’ve played in hill country. Open but challenging.
Great course
Beautiful course with a nice staff. Greens are slow and patchy just 1 year after returf.
Good but sad
Roy kizer is one of the most beautiful muni’s in the country. The fairways were in great condition and the pace of play was right at 4 hours. Staff is friendly
What I can’t understand is how the city paid to redo all of the greens not even a year ago and they are already losing them. Almost every green is dying around the edges and has dead spots. When first replaced the greens were rolling fast and true. Now they are back to bumpy and slow.
Don’t bother
Greens were a joke !! Hard as a Rock, and very little grass ! Fairways were pretty much the same way, and they charge $40 for this ?!!!
Nothing special
I wouldn’t recommend playing kizer unless it’s $25 or less. The greens & tee boxes are really bad.
Per usual, the lady in the pro shop is unpleasant to deal with
An austin Favorite
I always enjoy the course but there’s plenty of room for improvement regarding the condition of the greens. Especially considering it’s not been that ling ago they closed the course down completely and spents millions of dollars to recondition them!
Winter conditions
Best of the muni courses but not immune to climatic impact. Some thinning in the fairways and greens not as lush as other seasons. Overall still not too bad for a January round of golf.

Played on thurs so pace was ok had 1 group that was slow the course played solid not real hard but not easy

yall f,d me pout of 3 tee times after I changed it ....got to course and your software f upped everything thankfully the gatekeeper was awesome, and it all worked all Golf now just plain sucks. Course is in awesome shape
