Royal Ontario Golf Club sprawls across gentle hillsides blanketed in mature trees and thick fescue. Formerly a stable, the course features large meadows and dense groves of trees that frame the fairways and greens. The layout has a more traditional, links design that features occasional water hazards, most notably on the par-5 ninth and 18th holes that share a large lake, but the tree-covered hills are the true challenge of the golf course. Although there are many difficult elements on this course, five sets of tees make it accessible for players of all skill levels. Royal Ontario Golf Club is often compared to the Masters Course at Lionhead Golf & Country Club.

This one might be my new favourite course! Well maintained, offered a good challenge with great risk/reward opportunities. Definitely suggest checking it out for yourself.

Royal Ontario - Challenging Course
Fun course to play............the 9th hole and 18th hole are very tough.............they are both par 5's and are side by side

One of my favourites
We play the course about 8-10 times each year, great layout and in good conditon. Could use a bit more supervision from marshalls to nudge the players to move faster. Did not see a marshall on the course yesterday. The group ahead was behind in their pace of play most of the round and were constantly looking for balls. Other than that, we had a great time.
Impressively well managed golf course in this dry whether
I played at this course quite a few times but yesterday was the best one so far. Well managed and watered fairway and moderately fast green made my day very enjoyable with my friends. I strongly recommend this course for your pleasant field outing this year.

Great Condition
Course was in great condition, given the the lack of rain. Got an early morning tee time and completed in just under 4hrs. It recommended playing from white tees for a 10+ handicap but i found this shorted some holes too much and found myself playing short irons off the tee.
Unbelievably SLOW Pace of Play
4:00pm on tee-time on Sunday, so we expected play to be on the slow side ... but could never have imagined what we ran into. 3x groups per hole, 5-minute waits per shot ... ended up circling back and playing the front 9 twice, just to get some holes in (still didn't finish the round. For the price and "overplayed" conditioned of course ... it was a total bust. Will NEVER play there again, and would not recommend to anyone, so many better alternatives in the area ...

The condition of the course was greatly maintained.

Great course, awesome layout!!
I played here on 07/31 and course was in perfect shape. Greens rolled true and fairways were cut perfect. The staff were professional and pace of play was well attained. I'll be playing here again for sure!
Excellent early round
We were the first off the tee and breezed through the course in about 3 hrs. The course is excellent condition and offers plenty of challenge. Visually pleasing and can be intimidating at the same time. A really good mix of long and short par 3`s, 4`s and 5`s.. Well worth the few extra dollars to play this premium course.
Royalty?
The course was in great shape, greens were good but very marked due to inconsiderate golfers preceeding us! Very tight course as we learned. Good carts, lots
of cart service on the course!
Be sure to take extra balls!
