Course is in great shape. Stormy morning allowed for quick pace of play due to cancellations. Cart path only is annoying especially when we were the only group following the starters instructions.

Everything was fine. A little slow play which can be expected on the weekend. Players ahead had decided to play the tips and were constantly looking for their ball. Index restriction should be in place to play tips.

Conditions were great, pace was good cart girl could've come by more than twice tho

Came into this course with high expectations but left a bit disappointed. The staff was friendly and the clubhouse was great looking but it was the course itself that left us disappointed, specifically the greens. They were in terrible shape with ball marks everywhere. It seemed like no one was fixing their ball mark. It was too bad cause it is a beautiful looking course. The fairways were a bit better. On a positive note, the pace of play was excellent, the staff were very friendly and the food was quite good. We would not play here again unless they really fix up the greens.

Pace of play way too slow. Had to quit on the 13th hole. Also no food on beverage cart.

We booked golf for two then the started paired us up. No problem until one of the players kicked one of our balls on the fairway, played a ball that wasnt his and went straight to the green while we were still on the fairway on almost every hole. On hole 8 they let us play through and we discovered they were employees! The rest of the round went great. We went to the proshop at the end to voice our concerns and were met with a blank stare and no apology. Sigh

like I said.....quite the treat and the greens were as good as any I have seen all year!

I think most would expect a lot from a course called "Royal Ontario" but I was pretty disappointed. I regret going to play in the afternoon as it was one of the slowest rounds I've ever had. My group walked off at the 15 hole due to slowness of the round. The course is also very challenging in my opinion due the the tight fairways and out of bounds or water on every side of almost every hole. The pins the we played could not have been placed in harder position but that's up to me. Other then the good conditions and the ability to hit of grass on the range I wouldn't recommend this course. Unless I get a free ticket I won't be coming back.

The course was in great shape. Pace was a bit slow, but we finished in just over 4 hours, so it wasn't too bad. I blame the scheduler. He had a 3-some, followed by a twosome, and a single, and then a 3-some. Two holes ahead of us had a gap of at least 3 holes. Marshall should have been all over this. We didn't see one. Otherwise, everything else was good. Coffee was also not so good.

They need to fix the pace of play! Space tee times and Marshall the course . Have been playing here for years and 5 hour round at 9 am is unacceptable.

A more challenging than average Ontario course in great condition
Well worth a round

The course is in fantastic shape. There is a nice variety to the holes, with differing distances and doglegs adding character to the course. I find the regular cost a bit high, but with a reduced rate through GolfNow is a fun round. Fairways can be a bit tight, so be prepared to lose a few balls if you don't hit it straight.

Food could be better but I'm picky that way, beautiful view of the 9th and 18th hole from the clubhouse patio.

First time playing this coarse.... wanted to for years. 5 over on the front and 6 on the back. 6 o'clock tee off, it was an amazing day!

Too much sand on Teebox and Greens. Very slow pace of play, may of been because of heat. Greens were in rough shape, why can't people fix their ball marks, its common courtesy.

- Tee Off at 9:50, pace was slow, twosome in front of us lest after 5 holes due to slow play. We had to wait virtually every shot.
- will try to find a tee time much earlier next time.
- if the pace was faster, this course would be really really fun to play.

I've played RO many times before and have enjoyed it thoroughly; great course - - challenging but fair. That was until yesterday; the pin placements were just way to difficult to hit, especially on 18 where it was impossible to hold the green if faced with a downhill putt. I was lucky to at least stay on the fringe, unlike my playing partners, who ended up at the bottom of the hill.
Overall, we were happy with everything else... But it seemed like someone was having too much fun placing the pins.

I've played this course many times and it is fun to play. For the first time, I had lunch with a business guest before the round - what a mistake! I have a gluten-free requirement and this kitchen is stuck in the stone age. The only option was salad - oh well. I ordered the greek salad ($6.95) with grilled chicken (extra $6.95) and received a side salad with a few chunks of chicken on top. So, if you are planning an event or, god forbid, a wedding - do your homework as they jip you on the food.

Golf was great however, like the course and will play it again.

Not worth the advertised price of $100 +
Greens in really poor shape and look like they havent been rolled.
Too many fresh and old pitch marks to count.
Carts not checked before round, no water in club cleaner and little sand in divot box.
Overall not worth the price.
Dissapointed especially as its a Kaneff course that is supposed to set a higher standard
