About
Thundering Waters Golf Club, so named for its proximity to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, has a unique layout that combines a parkland course with the tricky elements of a heathland golf course. There is an interesting combination of drivable par 4s and scenic par 3s that will provide a formidable test for even the most skilled players. The golf course first winds through heavily wooded patches and then finds its way to rugged hills dotted with thick fescue where true links-style holes with deep bunkers and large, undulating greens await you. The layout also features several doglegs and more than 100 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes. Thundering Waters Golf Club was Canada's first John Daly signature golf course.

Challenging but fair
The course was in superb condition. Extremely challenging from the second from back tees. The only negative are the sand traps weren’t maintained this year and there are many on this gorgeous layout.
Great layout
The course was in good shape and pace of play was great. Never had to wait. Only issue is the bunkers were terrible. Full of water, not raked and terrible sand. Other than that I would recommend giving it a try.

Not a course for players who don’t hit it straight
Lots of water and huge deep pot bunkers
Enjoyed it very much
The course is in very good condition., fairways and greens. Only complaint is the bunkers are in poor shape .
Excellent experience
I was taken off guard a bit to drive in and see the course completely embedded in a housing subdivision however we were soon greeted by very pleasant and knowledgeable staff from the club drop to the pro shop to the starter and the marshals. All were exceptionally friendly and courteous. Really enjoyed our day. The course was in good shape overall with a few tee boxes being a little rough however didn’t affect play. We played in about 4:05 and on day that was very busy ….that was quick in our minds. Pricing for food beverages and apparel in the pro shop was very reasonable. We will certainly be back. I would give it 4 1/2 stars if that was an option.
