About
Thundering Waters Golf Club, so named for its proximity to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, has a unique layout that combines a parkland course with the tricky elements of a heathland golf course. There is an interesting combination of drivable par 4s and scenic par 3s that will provide a formidable test for even the most skilled players. The golf course first winds through heavily wooded patches and then finds its way to rugged hills dotted with thick fescue where true links-style holes with deep bunkers and large, undulating greens await you. The layout also features several doglegs and more than 100 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes. Thundering Waters Golf Club was Canada's first John Daly signature golf course.

Poor sand trap maintenance
3rd time playingTW this year. Course fairways and greens are fabulous.. I don’t understand why the sand traps are so neglected. Would’ve gave a 5 star rating if they would put some sand in the traps. Found most were more mud than sand.
Tourist Trap!!
Each year I play this course the worse it gets! I’m not even sure where to start… the tee blocks are full of divots, you couldn’t find a sliver of grass if you tried… bunkers were unplayable… the greens were punched and full of sand running at a 6 max! Last time I will ever play here sorry JD!!
Bunker Disaster
There’s a lot of bonkers on the course and none of them are taken care of very well
Good challenge
Definitely a course that you can’t afford a duff off the tee., keep it straight and in play as majority of holes are tight, lined with Trees and OB. Greens are good, with some undulation but not to excess.
This is a target golf course
There must have been a tournament there recently as course had lots of divots on each hole.
Greens were went so ran slow.
Fairways are tight so lots of trouble if you're not straight
Over priced
Refund should be offered or reduce price due to non existent sand traps.
Worst I have seen in Niagara area.
Unpleasant experience
My cousin and I had an early tee time and the course was damp. We were able to tee off immediately when we arrived. That was good. But as we were playing there was some grass condition tractor guy in the fairway doing his job but it seems that every hole we went to this gentleman was cutting and rolling the grass in front of us which is very disappointing. I had him do this for most of the time on the course. We were driving balls towards him and he had no regard to shut off the tractor or move most of the time. His tractor was very noisy while we’re hitting the ball is very disrupting. By the time the 17th all came we had said we had enough and he finally shut down the tractor for us so we didn’t have to put up with him for the last two holes. Very disappointing!
Did not play as well as it should.
All bunkers out of play. Tee boxes uneven and missing grass. Played it in the past with everything neatly done and it is very challenging but with no bunkers and tee boxes a mess not as good.
