Thundering Waters Golf Club
About
Thundering Waters Golf Club, so named for its proximity to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, has a unique layout that combines a parkland course with the tricky elements of a heathland golf course. There is an interesting combination of drivable par 4s and scenic par 3s that will provide a formidable test for even the most skilled players. The golf course first winds through heavily wooded patches and then finds its way to rugged hills dotted with thick fescue where true links-style holes with deep bunkers and large, undulating greens await you. The layout also features several doglegs and more than 100 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes. Thundering Waters Golf Club was Canada's first John Daly signature golf course.

Better than expected
We had been warned that bunkers are a disaster and some holes have been shortened. Course has good assortment of holes. With bunker reconstruction and some TLC this course could be a must play. Beware the yardages in the course yardage book - distances from tees to landing spots are not always accurate.
Good course
Just good course
John’s signature course
Understand how hard to keep theses bunkers
Please just make as grass bunkers
It will be much better looking
I enjoyed this one
John must have been drunk when he designed this course
The layout of this track is possibly the most complicated, ill conceived, poorly planned I've ever played. Ever.
If you love laying up and driving five minutes between holes, this is the course for you.
Saturday early twilight golf and not a drink, refreshment, amenity insight.
Tee time confusion at the clubhouse.
I deeply respect the commitment to being a "hot mess" this course has. It really captures John Daly's spirit.
One and done for me.
Great track
Fairways and greens in good shape, only issue is bunkers were unplayable
Fix the bunkers!!!
Great lay out! Really need to put sand in the bunkers
Don’t waste your money
I don’t ever complain or leave a review but I felt I had to this time. Long story short, This course is in very bad shape. I would’ve never booked here Had I known that this course is extremely neglected.its not worth it Even if you get a hot deal. I’d pay the extra money and golf somewhere else. The tee blocks, fairways, green and last but not least bunkers are all in dire need of repair. The bunkers aren’t playable. The bunkers had messages written in them that contained profanity and shows a complete lack of course maintenance. The course is very neglected. I’d be embarrassed to call myself a member here. I will not be returning.
Weird layout
Definitely a weird layout of their holes. Have to travel far for some holes and confusing to find some. No beverage cart driving aroind. Pace of play was really good. A lot of bunkers had hard sand in them or sometimes no sand at all with weeds growing out. A few tee boxes look like they haven't been maintained in awhile. Greens were really good.
Overall, not worth the price to play.
Bunkers
Good course but the bunkers are in terrible shape.
Bunkers are neglected and out of play for some reason. Just aim for them when it helps you, then pull them out without a penalty.
Bunkers
Bunkers are absolutely terrible and they even acknowledge it. I wouldn’t care as much if it looks like they were in the process of fixing but it looks like there’s 0 effort to them. At this point just fill in the bunkers with grass.
Bunkers
Please fix them! Fill them in and leave it partly grassed with bunker sand or other method. It messes up a nice course.
Great little course set in a sub division in Niagara Falls
I loved the setting! It was quiet, in great condition. There are many grass and fairway bunkers and for some reason the course doesn’t maintain the bunkers. I would play this course again!
