Thundering Waters Golf Club

Like other reviews have said, the bunkers are in terrible shape. The course doesn't drain well and is very wet. Layout since all the development has shortened the course significantly. Tee boxes need some work as well. If you can get a good deal, it's worth it but don't spend more than $50 on this course.

You name your course thundering waters, yet you get rain for an hour and the course goes into shut down mode! Then it’s cart path only! Some people have mobility issues! You need to spend money on your course and get better drainage! That’s the last time I play there.

Booking golf is fun, it’s one of the best things to do on a day off. This place is a great golf course in the making. Although the staff here completely ruined my day. The lady at the front desk is the most sour and mean person, and the Marshall is a liar. This is the opposite of what I’m looking for at a golf course.

Will not ever be returning simply because of her though.

This course was highly regarded apparently, but from the minute we arrived we were highly disappointed. First, they have zero off course amenities, the “range” is a net in front of a wooden fence and the hitting turf is torn and rotted to bits. Second the tee boxes were dirt and had barely any grass to hit from. Third, The fairways looked like it was hit by a hail storm and no one has tended them all year. This course is known for its bunkers and boy these were a joke. 3 bunkers have sand in them and the rest are overgrown and is a literal hazard. The greens were kept and fast but non receptive. We felt like someone was playing a joke saying this course was good. Apparently this course was amazing 4 years ago, but it seems they have completely given up on the course since covid. They removed the ball washers and all maintenance of the course. They won’t give you sand to fill any divots so I don’t see how this place is ever going to be back to what it was. My group wanted to ask about the course and what happened to it, so we asked to speak with the Pro or the superintendent, but they don’t have either of those. Just a pro shop manager. LOOK AT THESE VIDEOS, speaks for itself. Don’t come here brothers and sisters, save your money.

Only one problem course needs ball washers at tees

We had a morning round.

It’s pretty much clouded day, but the starter let us on time start. He I is always friendly.

This course has too much grass bunkers, so easy to lose the balls.

Tee boxes. Bunkers. Cart path needs maintenance.

And cafe wasn’t open at 9:10 for coffee? But staff was good.

Tricky track lots of hills. Pace slow. Ok value. But course has seen better days

Got to tee off 20 mins after booked time. Had to wait for carts to come off course. Play is rather slow; had foursome ahead smoking pot and excessively

The fairways and greens are in average condition. But, the great number of discontinued sand bunkers intended to become grass bunkers are unkempt and certainly unseeded, not levelled nor contoured. The course craves maintenance and attention
