About
Winchester Golf Club is a short and sweet 5,200 yards from the tips. Those looking for length will have to go elsewhere, but if you want a quick round, this course can be played in less than four hours. The course is situated among Brooklin's gently rolling hills, which are covered by forests that are part of the Oak Ridges Moraine. The player-friendly layout is ideal for beginners. It is also a great place for kids to learn how to play. The golf course is not difficult by any means but it provides good practice. There are a few challenges spread throughout, including a fair number of bunkers bordering the greensides. Its forgiving nature and risk-reward opportunities make it a great place for golf tournaments as well.

Not overly long but plenty challenging
Read some negative reviews on line about course conditions and what ace of play. Didn’t encounter any problems with either one. Here’s the bottom line. The value for 18 holes with a cart is better than anything else within an hour of the GTA.
First Round of the year
Found the course in very good condition. Unfortunately the pace of play was slow.
Good course for beginners and intermediate players
Played a round on Victoria day, the course was very busy. It took us four and a half ours to complete the round. Course was in good condition.
Do not Book Over the Phone
i have played here before and have not had many issues besides the condition of the course for the price, however, I booked a tee time a week in advance over the phone and upon arrival today at our designated tee time and we were told that there was nothing available. Upon showing our call log from the time of booking asking if there was anything they could do the grey haired pro shop clerk began a tirade saying he already told us there was nothing available and not to question him. We will not be returning and would not recommend this course to others.
Short course but some challenges throughout. Little bit rough but good value
Not for golfers.
This course is for beginners. People who play golf, but aren’t golfers. Tee boxes are bad, no flat spots or grass. Fairways and greens were decent. Pace of play is what kills you. I watched the guy in front of me shoot a TWELVE on one basic par four. Tough course management on a 260 par four. It was great weather though!
Crowded and extremely slow pace
If you’re planning to spend 5 hours to play a round of golf and wait 5 to 10 mins on the tee box for your turn then this is the right course for you. Also the ball washers are mounted about 6 feet high so go figure, if you’re not over 6 feet tall, it’s almost impossible to use it.

Average course conditions but great weather and not too busy
Good day
No complaints. No issues. Would recommend repairing the low lying wet areas on the 10 fairway and the 16th fairway in front of the green.
If you can find another place
Say nice things but I can't
It's probably best that you just find another place and hope That they sell it to a developer

The fairways green and lush. Tee box’s are just okay. Greens were cut and fast. Pace of play was good 4 hrs. Price of $50.00 included cart and a 10:30am tee time ok. Appeared all times on schedule. I saw a table outside club house door with old and very used golf covers etc., which should have gone into lost and found our just left FREE for whoever wanted something. Instead they were selling for $5.00. REALLY!!
Unfortunately, I cou;dn't make my tee off time. I was transported to hospital.

Overall I had a good time. The only minor issue with the condition of two fairways was an area on the 10th fairway with excess water sitting. Maybe it should be evaluated for some kind of drainage. And on the 16 the fairway
