Oak Bay Golf Course

Everything was exactly as anyone would want it to be. A ton of credit to the superintendent and his crew. Despite all the rain lately the course was in exceptional shape ( no easy task ). Keep up the great work to the entire Oak Bay team.

Several individuals greeted our threesome as soon as we arrived and began washing our clubs before we played. The course was in phenomenal shape, and the marshalls were also very informative and friendly to talk too. I would definitely come back to play again soon!

Excellent course, very friendly and accommodating staff. Weather was a little overcast and the mosquitoes were out. Bring plenty of extra balls if your shots are not always true. Hole #6 is one of the most picturesque holes I've ever played.

This course is beautiful & well maintained. BUT it is extremely difficult for the avearage golfer. Your Tee Shot must be well hit and well placed as nearly all holes have marshland between the tee box and the fairway. I have played this course 3 times now and always you lose 1/2 dozen balls. The fairways are tight so always a straight ball must be hit. Hole #6 is a Par 3 that is 160 yards, uphill and a small green - nearly impossible to place your ball on the green. The owner could have spent more money on making longer fairways and less Marshland.

This is a very hard course for the average golfer because errant shots are often lost balls. The course is in great shape and has some very pretty holes. On some of the holes you need to be able to carry considerable distance accurately or lose your ball

It's a tough course , but fun to play . One of my favourites.

A challenging course with breath taking scenic holes. The Marshall was such a sweet man and brought us luck every time he came around.

This place is a hidden gem that offers some amazing golf. The views, the conditions, the clubhouse, this place has it all. I always enjoy golfing here and the staff have always been top shelf with their service. A real pleasure every time I go. I am a 40 minute drive away and still try and go once a week.

Played Oak Bay Golf & Country Club on 2016-10-19. Greens were slow and had been aerated. Pro shop did not advise me. It was also wet fairways. I was also not told that it was cart part only until 12 th holes when I first saw a foursome on the cart path. It is a very nice layout. You must be straight with you first shot as it is very tight. Played the blues ((tip) at 6500 yards. Sure felt like 6800 as there was no role and ball plugging all over. Got back at 15:00 and pro shop was already closed.

Would play again knowing the course but make sure it has been dry for while before playing.

This is a great course. Well maintained and just beautiful. Really tight off the tee and many hazards to negotiate. This course is always in great shape and you can finish a round in 4 hours or less. This is a must play, I'd recommend to anyone.

Hit it straight or bring balls. Great layout. Play well here and you will play well pretty well anywhere.

The course was immaculate. Perfect green grass the kind you want for your own yard. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was great. Only issues if I had to write one would be the chef was outside smoking and socializing than being in the kitchen. At one point he was at the bar drinking (not professional in my opinion).

We will definitely be back to golf and eat.

Last minute decision to play because of weather conditions. Glad we went. We got a great deal on golf now. All players were 10 -15 index. We found the course very demanding (narrow fairways, rock crops around the greens, some long carries) We all shot above our index, but loved the course )all of us are going to return. Great stop.

I have played here many times over the years and I would say this is one of my favorite public courses in the Muskokas right behind Seguin valley and the Ridge at Manitou. I have played more than a dozen top notch club link courses and this is better than most of them. The club house being finished is a great asset and the chef they have on site is great. As every one says if you don't hit straight bring lots of balls

Oak bay is in exceptional condition, some of the best greens I've ever played. The landscape and views surrounding the course are picturesque and what you come to expect playing in muskoka. You will not find better value anywhere in muskoka. Oak bay simply can't be beat if you want to play a great course for a great price!
